No, instead it is a mihirung or "demon duck", an extinct family of large to giant birds from Australia (Oligocene to Late Pleistocene) likely related to Anseridae, the family including ducks, geese and swans. Thus, it is neither related to giant ratites (moas, elephant birds,...) nor to terror birds (Phorusrhacidae, related to seriemas).

They are related to the ancient Gastornis, and while they've been misrepresented or wrongly thought of as predators, they actually ate seeds. So think of it more like a giant, flightless parrot (but actually related to ducks).
    5. still and absolute monster
  2. Another stellar bird, would love to see your take on Gastornis, a giant ratite or a Phorusrhachid of some kind.

This big boy is much bigger than Gastornis, and lived in Australia when modern humans came there. :)

I am in love. I can now almost completely recreate my fantasy world with prehistoric animals in Planet Zoo.

Hey Cake, this mod is amazing, we all have wanted a bird like this for a while. I noticed that you are on you 99th animal, we are all so proud and happy that we have you to make amazing and wonderful modes. You should make your 100th animal something big, like what everyone has wanted for a while, like a harpy eagle. Thank you for all that you do for the community, and hope this leads to many more amazing and cool mods. God Bless
