Just to chime in late here, I think this dude is referring to a very extinct pliocene peafowl. Pavo bravardi/moldavicus (formerly Gallus bravardi) It was a cold-adapted European peafowl. It was slightly larger than its extant counterpart. There have been no studies that I'm aware of analyzing fossil pigments, so coloration is unknown. Not many paleoartists have depicted it, but the ones I found used browns and reds liberally.
So, I guess it's real, but eh. It's not a particularly interesting animal. Scaled up and dulled down peafowl.
How do you know it's the biggest cat if we don't have any publicly available information on its fossils? Wikipedia just says it's a machairodontid found in what is now Chad in Africa, there's no pictures of it's fossils.......
