Hi the localization fix mod has been updated with the following changes. - Removed the zoopedia pics for sable antelope and pronghorn as they have got remasters. - English only: the following additional species have been renamed: - Colombian White-Faced Capuchin Monkey -> Colombian White-Faced Capuchin - Little Penguin -> Little Blue Penguin - Pygmy Hippo -> Pygmy Hippopotamus - Siberian Tiger -> Amur Tiger
a rename would be good for the king penguin to South Georgia king penguin, gray seal to Atlantic gray seal, and diamondback terrapin to northern diamondback terrapin as those are the subspecies they represent
also is the Queensland koala a rename still or has it been removed
Hey! Awesome mod, as a taxonomy enjoyer this is a must-have for me. As a small suggestion, would you consider renaming the Koala to the Queensland Koala in English? I see the Spanish fix already has that change :)
Also baird's tapir still has the old zoopedia picture in game, not the one listed in images. Idk if it's a bug or it has been changed, so im just mentioning it.
Cool mod - the timber wolf clearly being a specific subspecies bugs me. I'd like to see the African Elephant changed to the African Bush Elephant if/when possible, since it's a more standard name and rolls off the tongue better.
Can you please change the Cheetah to African Cheetah?
The Asiatic Cheetah is a distinct, smaller, critically endangered subspecies. It saddens me that people keep forgetting about its existence, since it really needs all the recognition it can get.
Siberian Tiger - Amur Tiger: The Amur tiger is a newer name for the Siberian tiger, as it is no longer found on the Siberian Federal district, but only in a small area in the border of the Far Eastern Federal district of Russia and Heilongjiang, China (and possibly North Korea), near the banks of the Amur river. It is also the name most zoos use for it, and I personally think it is better as it fits with the Amur leopard.
Clouded Leopard - Indochinese Clouded Leopard: This change is for contrasting with the Sunda clouded leopard.
Cougar - North American Cougar: The North American cougar is the subspecies it represents, as it was featured in the North America Pack.
Blue Wildebeest - Eastern White-Bearded Wildebeest: The most similar blue wildebeest subspecies to the Planet Zoo wildebeest. There is also a Nyassa wildebeest mod, and the name change could differentiate it from the base wildebeest (both are blue wildebeest subspecies).
These are of course just ideas, but I think that accuracy is always an improvement.
Also needs to change the "African Lion" to Southern African Lion (Panthera leo melanochaita) since it not only looks far more like the southern subspecies, but would also help differentiate it from the Asian Subspecies (Panthera leo leo) mod.
Should probably change Cheetah to Southeast African Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus venaticus) too, since only the Southeast African subspecies can have the King Cheetah morph.
Renaming the Koala to Queensland Koala would be nice too... the various subspecies aren't always recognized by everyone, but for those of us who do it would be nice. Also, we have a mod version the Victorian subspecies as well.
Could it be possible to change the name of the maned wolf in Spanish from Spain to "Lobo de Crin" ? I think this name is more used in Spain than Aguara Aguazú.
