HI! Love the mod but, is there a way for it to check to see if there's room in the receiving inventory before cycling? I had one running and came back to a mountain of uranium in my bese! It was hilarious but really not what I wanted. I had to uncover the damn thing to get to the controls! /lol
Are you saying that it is not possible to implement the idea or, that this did not happen? I can most definitely assure you that it did happen.
Every time I start one auto shredding and set the demand to uranium rods, it will marryly start spitting ore out on the floor when the recycle container is full.
I craft rods at the mine, transport them to the base and drop them in a buffer then, they are put into the shredder and, it dumps the ore into another buffer. One drone is moving 9x the ore in one trip. it reduces the drone traffic massively. Problem is that when the ore buffer is full the excess is tossed into the world. give it a try.
Today's patch broke this again. Items placed into recycler do not automatically recycle or go into the designated recycle box even when the button is manually pushed.

Wonderful mod, a feature I've suggested to them multiple times as a T2 recycler or something.
Was trying out recycling various things for testing purposes, cookies for some reason recycled to one chocolate and nothing else (the container had room and no 'pickups' setup for drones). I tested with vanilla and got the expected 3 chocolate and 3 flour.
Not that I need to recycle many cookies, still I thought you might like to know.
This mod is great! Thanks for creating it. Is there a way to make it work on a newly-created recycler without restarting the game? I accidentally disassembled mine and couldn't get the new recycler to work at all until it started working automatically after restarting the game.
I'm abit confused on howto add more than one name to the file it's abit unclear on that or I'm just that dumb ?. DefaultDepositAliases = *Dump CustomDepositAliases = Iron:*Common,Magnesium:*Common,Cobalt:*Common;Aluminium:*Precious;Iridium:*Precious when the info says Iron:*Common,Magnesium:*Common,Cobalt:*Common;Aluminium:*Precious;Iridium:*Precious can someone break it down so even a child could understand it ?. i Don't understand the whole strain of the naming processes other than * before the name. P.S. thanks in advances
It just does not work. In any combination the recycler spit all out to the floor. What is different between comma and semicolon? The example uses both when the instruction says "Comma separated list ..." and if there is something I cannot understand, please explain (or fix the mod). I have 3 regular (blue) boxes named "dump Common", "dump Precious" and "dump Items" I have in cfg file DefaultDepositAlias = *dump Iron:*Common,Magnesium:*Common,Cobalt:*Common;Aluminium:*Precious;Iridium:*Precious;OxygenTank1:*Items Is the error in cfg file or in the game named boxes or both? Or is there the error in the mod itself?
No. If you followed the example, you need to name the default container simply *dump including the star. For the common items, name the container *Common .
No I didn't install mod or BepInEx incorrectly. Thanks for correcting things (; > ,). Also I noticed that when you set e.g. "DefaultDepositAlias = ... ,OxygenTank1:Items" and name box as "Items" the items go there (no asterisks). Just if anyone else is figuring the same. Now I got it all correctly. Thanks for explaining.

Updates
Do not post about the mod being out-of-date. I know. It will be updated.
Installation prerequisite
If you followed the install instructions but the mod still doesn't work, it could be due to many things.

Use the Recycling Machine t2 which does not spill into the world and does not overflow its output either.

Confirmed to work after I name the chest correctly, lol

Okay.
Until I completely shut the game down and restarted, even tried doing it as "Named Box first then Recycler" but no dice until I restarted the game.
DefaultDepositAliases = *Dump
when the info saysCustomDepositAliases = Iron:*Common,Magnesium:*Common,Cobalt:*Common;Aluminium:*Precious;Iridium:*Precious
Iron:*Common,Magnesium:*Common,Cobalt:*Common;Aluminium:*Precious;Iridium:*Precious
can someone break it down so even a child could understand it ?. i Don't understand the whole strain of the naming processes other than * before the name.P.S. thanks in advances
The list says iron, magnesium and cobalt go into any container named *common .
I have 3 regular (blue) boxes named "dump Common", "dump Precious" and "dump Items"
I have in cfg file
DefaultDepositAlias = *dump
Iron:*Common,Magnesium:*Common,Cobalt:*Common;Aluminium:*Precious;Iridium:*Precious;OxygenTank1:*Items
Is the error in cfg file or in the game named boxes or both? Or is there the error in the mod itself?
You installed the mod or BepInEx incorrectly.
> What is different between comma and semicolon
Comma separated list. Slight mistake in the example.
Iron:*Common,Magnesium:*Common,Cobalt:*Common,Aluminium:*Precious,Iridium:*Precious
> dump Common
No. If you followed the example, you need to name the default container simply *dump including the star. For the common items, name the container *Common .
