About this mod

Adds simple haptic effects for "Pistol Whip" in the bhaptics Tactsuit models, Tactal, and Tactosy for arms. Simple effects for a straight forward game: Recoil and reloading for guns and shotguns, and getting shot in the head or bumping into things.

Installation

  1. Download and install MelonLoader (and the requirements for it if needed) into the game's directory. By default, this will be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pistol Whip\", you might have to adjust the first part of the path.
  2. Run the game once so the mod can make its folder structure. You can quit right out of it.
  3. Download and extract the zip file of this mod into the "Mods" subdirectory of your game directory (see above).
  4. You are done, just start the bhaptics Player and then the game how you normally would.

Description

This mod communicates with the bhaptics gear when certain events are detected in "Pistol Whip" to give you haptic feedback. Since the game is very straight forward and only allows for headshots, the effects are simplistic as well:

  • Recoil in arms and vest for guns and shotguns, and on whipping
  • Reloading on hip and shoulder
  • Getting shot in the head (when tactal is not connected, feedback in the vest)
  • Crashing into things or enemies
  • Heart beating when all armor is gone
