When I create the "override" folder and unzip the mod in my game, it eliminates the talent tree and gives me -35 attribute points, what am I doing wrong?
My apologies for missing this comment until now! I can't think of what could be causing this off-hand. Were you able to figure out what was going on? Were you using any other mods?
For whatever reason the line "CharacterCreationAttributePoints": xx, just wanted a higher number. Like a way higher number. I switched it to 90, which was probably overkill tbh and it rolled over. Just edited it in notepad++
jomit427's solution half worked for me - setting CharacterCreationAttributePoints to 90 allowed me to allocate my attribute points but the talent tree still didn't work. It doesn't even let me select my starting skills.
If you get past the intro, save, remove this mod and then reload the skill tree works again but you're still missing the skills you should've selected during character creation e.g. you don't have either sworn enemy or lay on hands as a Paladin.
Weirdly, if I use the ~50 mod collection this is in everything works so probably put this down to user error
1. Download the mod 2. Unzip it into steam / steamapps / common / Pillars of Eternity II / PillarsOfEternityII_Data / override (if the folder doesn't exist, create it)
