1. Introduction.

This mod only exists to add bit of flavour to your Deadfire experience by restoring a few abilities that were intended, but never made it to the games.
If I messed anything up or if you would like me to add something else, then let me know and I might take a look.


2. Contents of the mod

Cut abilities

  • Gift of Hope - +1 Constitution, +1 Resolve, +10% Max Health
According to the developers: "Josh wanted to reward players with a passive talent if the didnt sacrifice anyone to the blood pool. For one reason or another, later on that passive was never awarded to the player in dialogue, and was cut as a resolution to a bug on Josh."

  • Wael's Boon - +1 Intellect +10 All defenses against Intellect affliction attacks. (Confusion belongs under the Intellect afflictions now)
You were intened to recieve this from Wael (in PoE1). But it was ultimately cut from the game.

3. Install

  • Download the mod that you want.
  • Unpack the mod.
  • Select the desired mod folder and then copy/paste or drag it to the override folder (Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\override). If you don't have it then just create a New folder and rename it "override".
  • That's it, have fun.

4. FAQ

Q: How do I get them?
A: You get them next time you load a save or start a new game.

Q: Help! It's not working!
A: The correct folder structure matters quite a lot here. It should look like this:
  • "Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\override\GiftOfHope"
  • "Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\override\WaelBoon"
