In Player.log file under PoE2's config dir (%userprofile%/AppData/... - same one where you flush NewsArchive.xml to disable spam in main menu), this mod produces errors like "ERROR: Failed to load game data bundle .../Changed_Robes_Models/design/gamedata/robe_legendary.gamedatabundle" for a couple files (robe_legendary and another one, iirc) with a JSON parser traceback.

This seem to be because while PoE2 JSON parser tolerates extra commas, it does not allow unmatched curly braces or brackets, and some files have those, so presumably tweaks from those won't apply.
As a quick fix, I'd suggest opening e.g. robe_legendary.gamedatabundle from this mod in any json-syntax-checking editor (Notepad++ can probably do it, or there should be plenty of those online) and correcting highlighted bugs/mismatch(es).
Ideally should probably be fixed in the mod download itself, of course.

There are vailians and other commoners in this region wearing those robes. It feels weird to see the animancers in Engwithian Digsite wearing revealing Huana clothing, for example, especially the male version. (The female version is less revealing and more proper, imho)

Good point! Probably most NPCs wear the first tier robe, so switching only the first tier back to original skin should eleviate the issue.

I updated the file structure of the mod. The new main file does not include a model swap for the base tier robe, which should mean that most commoners are back to wearing their usual robes. The optional file changes the base tier robe ;)
