There was a single unresolved JSON error in "BackgroundSkillbonus.gamedatabundle" - needs to be fixed or else it won't load properly on game boot. Suggest using https://jsonlint.com/ to find and fix the error. It's a "}" at the very end of the file.
Are you sure? The mod works fine for me, and you're the first one to report any issues. Clearly hundreds of other people who downloaded this mod didn't have any problems either or I would've received complaints by now. Still, when I get a chance I'll look into that issue!
Yes, I just downloaded the mod again fresh to double check. I used notepad ++, with the JSON Viewer plugin. When you click the "Format JSON" option, it immediately flags it as being broken at the end of file. You can also directly copy the text into https://jsonformatter.curiousconcept.com/ and it'll tell the same thing. If you try to load the mod in its current state, in the output_log.txt, it'll say there's an error and that it was unable to load "BackgroundSkillbonus.gamedatabundle"
I'm not saying I don't believe you, of course! I'm just saying it doesn't seem to impact the functionality of the mod. In fact, if there was any errors with the mod, it was with the original (which didn't work at all, haha).
