Important Stuff: This is a modification of Silversfox's Increased Skill Bonuses for Backgrounds mod. I went into the file and edited the values to create bonuses for all of the backgrounds, including companion specific ones, that were more interesting and better suited for RP. I don't actually remember all of the changes I made, but an example is me changing Dissident to give Sleight of Hand, Intimidate, and Streetwise (it had History before I edited it, which didn't make sense to me). I've also reduced the overall benefit of each background so it is worth 9 points instead of the 12 it is in the original mod. I've also added Fassina's Arcane Apprentice to the mod, as it was not in the original version. The goal of this mod was to create something that made backgrounds feel powerful and significant without being too overpowered, so that they actually felt like an important part of character creation. This mod has been tested alongside and is confirmed to function perfectly fine with the reuploaded version of Backgrounds Unlocked, which I recommend to use in conjunction with this mod for the maximum number of background options.

Not So Important Stuff: So this here mod is actually a mod of a mod of a mod, sort of. This entire project actually came as a result of me wanting to use Background Skills Bonus Rebalance by trlababalane. Unfortunately, when I tried to install it, I found it non-functional. I tried merging with Kdiff to fix it, but this didn't work either, so I decided to just make the dang thing myself. Seeing as it was a modification of Silversfox's mod, I decided to try the same thing and found it easier than I imagined using some simple logic. That's right, I'm no coder, I just used basic logic to adjust and copy and paste some stuff to get what I wanted, so don't give me too much credit, lol... Anyway, I basically just searched the text file that came with the mod for references to "values" having to do with specific backgrounds and used the in-game information to change values as needed. All of the code is still from Silversfox's original mod, all I did was change some numbers, so please direct all praise to the original author.

I might make more versions in the future with further tweaks, and certainly if anyone requests any specific tweak. As it is, I recommend against using this mod combined with the Berath's Blessing to increase your skill bonuses, as you might not feel the impact of this mod that much with so many skill points going around haha... you do you of course!
