    The mod has been tested and works fine with the latest version of the game. I am no longer updating it, unless a game patch breaks it for some reason.

    If you want a modest difficulty increase use the normal version, if you want an bigger difficulty increase use the hardcore version. As always I recommend starting with the normal version.

    The two optional files (more hp, less xp) are NOT to be used together with the main mod. They are already included in the main versions with tweaked values for each one. Only use them if you are just interested in that specific change.

    I don't understand the level scaling edits, I want the fodder enemies to not scale as hard but still higher than vanilla

    someone help =)

    EDIT: I understood the boss and defaultscalingRules and changed them, but I don't get the defaultscalingrules_sidequest part

    Also you gotta update and fix the levelscaling and xp reduction description, levelscaling cap is increased to 7 more not 9, and xp reduction is about -15% not -20

    Btw no point of adding the enemystates.gamedata into mod if its not different to vanilla

    Currently, the description for less XP is a reduction of -20%. This is incorrect.
    The mod reduces the QuestXP multiplier 1.35 -> 1.15. That is not a reduction by -20%.
    The correct value for the multiplier should be 1.08.

    Very good overall. It keeps MOST fights challenging and intense, but it also breaks a number of them and makes them the most incredibly dull 20 minute "NO PEN" shitfests. (Anything with iron constructs and some of the hulking champions is just AWFUL).

      I recommend having penetration specific weapons, buffs and spells on hand for those situations.

      Even a weaker weapon with high penetration is better than a stronger weapon with lower penetration against such enemies.

    For those wondering how to edit what this mod modifies. There are 3 files and you can easily edit these values in notepad. Levels, experience, stats to enemies. I recommend upping penetration and adding a level or 2 in addition.

      You'll know it worked when most of your quests are red.

      there is 3 files in this mod ,enemy stats , experience , level scaling .I haven't tested it yet but I removed the other two and only let levelscaling remain , seems like a straightforward process and should work I guess.

    Thanks so much for this mod. I'm wondering if there is a way to edit the level scaling file so enemies are always at least the same level as me, even if i'm lvl20 and they are lvl1?

    Or actually if there is a way to scale them ALL at least a level above me? I'm playing with Hardcore mod, with potd, and I find encounters still too easy. Enemies with no skulls die too quickly...

    Hello. I'm playing vanilla PotD and I'm installing the HP and XP mods only for now because I'm already level 15 and not even halfway through the game. Maybe it's too late for the -25% XP to be of any use. I can edit the file but I'm not sure how the multiplier works. If I want to change it to -50% experience, for example, which values would I put instead of the current multipliers:

    "QuestXPMultiplier": 1.15,
    "CombatXPMultiplier": 1

      I'm sorry for the late reply, you probably won't need this anymore, but for anyone else looking to do the same:

      If you want roughly a -50% across the board put in 0.6 or 0.7 as multiplier. If I remember correctly the default multipliers were 1.2/1.3, each slightly different but that was the range.
