Help. Is it really normal for crystal eater spider pet to deal aoe damage on my own units? Could it be one of my other mods? Or is this normal behavior? I really like the thought of a ranged pet even without the aoe would be fine.
It has friendly fire for me too– I think that's the way the creature ability is coded. Between that and the lack of scaling it's tricky to manage at low levels haha.
I really enjoy your work, the tiger is pretty neat. However, would it be a possibility for the mod not to change the animal companion's stats ? Because I find it way too powerful... It deals around 30-45 dmgs while I'm only level 1...
I play a lot a ranger/cypher in pillar of eternity 2. I use a lot confuse paralyse and pupet master. That go very well with the panther. The panther is a second tank with eder. And more because she is a thief who does more damage to an opponent who is confused or paralysed. I played with this mod for two days and I am very happy.
glad to hear you are enjoying using it! you're very welcome
if you have any suggestions for other animal/creature companions let me know, because i'm thinking of doing a set of unusual creatures as companions. . .
Only one suggestion - The Elder Giant Boar is truly giant and if not tricky to accomplish, shrinking him down to about the size of the Giant Tiger or Bear would be nice. I looked for the image file but couldn't find it.
Search down near the bottom of the file for the boar companion.
I changed: "Filename": "prefabs/characters/animal companions/CRE_Boar_Elder_Giant.prefab" to: "Filename": "prefabs/characters/animal companions/CRE_Boar_Giant.prefab"
That's it.
You could search (ctrl-F) characters.gamedatabundle, find other creatures refs, and do other creatures, such as: CRE_Tiger_Corrupted CRE_Priest_SpiritualAlly CRE_Construct_Ironclad CRE_Construct_Steelclad etc.
Perhaps play around with it?
Then I changed the corresponding text in the in-game text stringtable (see files in my mod) to match the description of the creature.

Edit: Apologies, I just saw the bottom post on the description page.

Thanks again.
I have made an alternative file and will upload it presently.
Cheers for the feedback.
Have fun with it
Just curious how you did it - the original Elder Boar file and the new one appear to be identical.

Hope that's helpful.
