The volume of the voices are too low compared to vanilla companion voices. I'm trying the Sinister voice of your mod and the volume is too low. Is there a way to increase the volume of the modded voices?
Agreed, I didn't do as much testing as I should of with each voice in game. I am working on an update to this mod, so I'll make sure to go through them and try to match the volume to the companions when I do. Though it might be a while before I have an update for all the voices ready.
As for a quick fix, it's a bit of a fiddly process but doable if you'd like to change it yourself. .wem files can't be edited so the only way to change the volume would be converting the files to an editable format, bump up the volume in something like audacity & save them, and reconvert them to .wem using a program called Wwise. I can write up a more detailed explanation if you'd like?
Thanks for the reply. Sure, I could give it a go. I just started my first playthrough, I'm only 2 hours in so a detailed explanation would be very helpful. Thanks
Hey ven9eanceLOL, just letting you know I have written up a .wem conversion guide if you are still interested. It doesn't go over audio editing but at least covers what's involved with convert audio files. Sorry for the wait!
No worries, there are no audio files for picking up items in any of these voices (excerpt when the character's inventory is full). So if the game tries to play those cues on the character, there is just silence.
Thank you so much for this! I've been dying to play with some of my old favorites from PoE1. They should have added the old voicesets since the very beginning; what was the point of carrying the protagonist over to the second chapter if he/she couldn't keep the voiceset!? Thanks again! <3
Yeah, I am not sure what the intent was with the change in actors. I think if they'd written in an explanation of some sort, like your body had actually perished during the opening, and that you're actually making a brand new vessel for your soul, it would have made sense.
It is probably just something mundane like scheduling conflicts for the voice actors from the first game.

I know default deadfire voice does it , but this wouldn't play any, right?
Always liked the Sinister voice, one of these days I need to make a character that would fit it.
Thanks again! <3
