Who wouldn't want to hear Ellie from The Last Of Us narrate the game?

    Hello,

Just wanted to ask if this is the same as the narration in POE 1 were it is only before/after an ACT and the ending slide?

      Hi!

Besides the ending slides, the narrator in POE2 also voices the descriptive text in some of the important main quest conversations.

This mod disables the narration of that descriptive text (and depending on the version you install, also the ending slides).

      Thanks for the response.

First time playing POE 2 and was also wondering what that SPOILER voice is. Is it better if I download/use the voiced ending slide together with the spoiler one?

Yeah, that's the version I would recommend.

To explain the "SPOILER" voice, at one point in the game the narrator will voice the actual dialogue of a certain entity. I didn't know whether that was something people wanted or not so I made it optional.

Hi just want to say thank you so much for this mod.  this narrator kills the game for me.  your mod makes it playable all the way through.

    thank you!

    Hello,

very nice mod. thank you very much.

I tried 'No Narrator Updated 1.1 - With Narrated Ending Slides', and it works.

I'm just wondering, what is the other file --> 'With Narrated (SPOILER) Voice' means?

Thanks ,not only is the voice actor subpar they also made her read a s#*! ton of unnessecary lines inbetween dialogues in that super slow voice.

Yeah, the narration is incredibly slow. Not a fan of the voice direction at all.

Oh, brilliant! Thank you so much for updating this for me!
I lost all of the files and software on my computer and was super demoralised to update the original mod.
Glad to see someone update the mod - and I'll no-doubt be using it myself when I get around to my second playthrough! :D

Hi thanks for this update. Just wondering is there any way to keep the companion/npc voices and just remove the narrator?

Hi! I hope you'll be pleased to hear that this mod only removes the narrator's voice! All other voice acting is intact : )

Hi thanks for the reply. This mod actually removed all voice acting from the game for me. I couldnt understand why though seeing as it was only overwriting specific files with no global modification, very strange. Fresh install, no mods, previous install or savegame import. Im running the Obsidian version from GOG FYI. No worries im sure its me thats done something weird, ill put up with the narration I think, because the rest of the voice acting is pretty decent. Cheers.

I too am using the Obsidian GOG version, so I've got no clue what could be causing that... I apologize for the late reply and being unable to help.

Thanks for doing this. The narration is one of my biggest bugbears. I know the voice actress who does it is incredible in many things but, to me, she wasn't right/directed right for this role.

Is all narration still playing or is just a few of them? I assume it's not what you meant, but just in case I'll mention that there are a couple left in because they are bundled in bank files, they're specified in description.

Which operative system are you on (Windows/Linux/Mac)? For version 1.0 I exported the audio individually for each OS, but the files seemed identical except for the parent folder, so I just made a single version for 1.1, I hope that's not the issue.

I don't know what it could be otherwise, or what could solve it besides trying to download and merge+override the Voiced folder once again.

I'm on Windows. The narration in the prologue (meeting Berath and waking up on the Defiant) still plays, I'm not sure about anything else yet.

Yeah, the narration from those lines shouldn't play. Tell me if reinstalling the mod works, otherwise I have no clue what could cause it.

I tried reinstalling, repairing the game, still doesn't work. I figure it's probably a mod conflict bc I have a lot installed lol. Oh well, I can put up with the narration. thank you anyway <3
