About this mod
Skill checks now only evaluates the Player's stats, disabling "Companion Bonuses".
Skill check thresholds have been algorithmically lowered to account for this change.
- Permissions and credits
This mod disables that behavior as well as lowering the affected checks accordingly.

Details
Each Skill Check is set to the Player value that would have been needed to pass the original threshold, if the average Companion value were equal to the Player value.
Effectively, removing the proportional Party Bonus value from the Skill Check.
___
Party Bonuses were originally calculated from the sum of your companions' skill values:
Crew Bonus
1 +1
2 +2
4 +3
7 +4
11 +5
16 +6
22 +7
29 +8
...and so on.
If we presume that the Companion average is equal to the Player's Skill Levels, we get this table:
PC: Player Character's skill value
Party: Sum of your companions' skill values
Bonus: The bonus added to the Player's skill from your companions
Total: Sum of the Player's skill value and the Party Bonus
PC Party Bonus Total Skill Value
1 4 +3 4
2 8 +4 6
3 12 +5 8
4 16 +6 10
5 20 +6 11
6 24 +7 13
7 28 +7 14
8 32 +8 16
9 36 +8 17
10 40 +9 19
11 44 +9 20
12 48 +10 22
13 52 +10 23
14 56 +11 25
15 60 +11 26
16 64 +11 27
17 68 +12 29
In other words, the conversion table from the Old values (with Party Bonuses) to the New values (without Party Bonuses) of Skill Checks will look like this:
Old New
1 1
5 2
7 3
9 4
11 5
12 6
14 7
15 8
16 9
18 10
20 11
21 12
23 13
24 14
26 15
27 16
28 17
For example, a Skill Check that originally required 22 Alchemy will now require 12 Alchemy.
The downside is that the Player now is free to min-max their companions' passive skills without consequences (such as Xoti's Religion skill for her Lantern buffs), and that any skill buffs on the Player would have the same effect as if all your Companions' skill average had been increased by the same value.
