Maia and Xoti are romancing successfully! Xoti and Watcher are romancing successfully! Maia turns down the Watcher and says she is in a romance with Xoti already.
Hey, I know the chances of this question getting answered are basically zero (considering its been 5 years since the last update), but I figured I'd ask anyway.
Will the epilogue/ending recognize all romances or just one?
You don't have to do a thing aside from installing the mod, it will do all the work for you. :) I just wanted to talk about some under the hood stuff so people could know what kind of stuff was tinkered with to make the mod happen.
Ok ok it's strange but in my game i am in relationship with Xoti but when Maia speak to me in a mission she said something like " she's sad to see that i'm already in relationship " is it normal ?
That's totally my bad, I should have guessed this mod would have worked best with a new game given how the flags work.
Okay, so starting a new game would be the easiest way to get this mod fully functional without any hitches. But if you're invested in your current playthrough and don't want to start again from the beginning, here's what to do.
Load a save from before you talked to Maia and got her "it's a shame you're already taken" chat.
Open up the console with the "~" key. If you haven't previously enabled cheats you'll need to enable "IRoll20s" by typing that into the bar up top and hitting enter. This will disable achievements for the playthrough, though!
Open up the console again. Type in "SetGlobalValue b_player_romance 0."
Without the mod, doing that would exit you out of any romance you're currently in, but with the mod active it should simply make it possible to romance Maia as well.
If this doesn't work, please let me know, and I'll try to figure it out for you. I didn't consider this as a problem before posting the mod because I started a new game for testing this.
Thanks for you time, there is no problem i will finish my party and begin a new one :p i realy love this game and your mod is amazing thanks for all ;)
So I'm at the same point, having already entered a relationship with Xoti before installing the mod. Following your instructions to enter "SetGlobalValue b_Player_Romance 0" does not change the outcome of my conversation with Maia. She still says she's sorry that I'm already accounted for. Doesn't exit me out of my current relationship either
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble getting it working!! I can't seem to get SetGlobalVariable cheats to work in my game either, so I'm afraid I'll have to recommend reloading a save before you romanced Xoti unless I can figure out a failproof workaround.
So I started a new game and had the same issue. Checked with the Unity console and it shows that b_Player_Romance is indeed already set to 0. Currently forcing the game start the relationship by setting n_Maia_Romance_State from 5 to 1 and essentially just skipping the initial romance dialog
I started this off about to say "I have no idea what's causing it, I'll take a look at the code" because five minutes ago I DIDN'T know, but I cracked open the code again and found the issue. I forgot to alter specific companion romance checks in Maia's relationship conversationbundle. I'm fixing that right now and I'm SO sorry for the inconvenience. I must have gotten lucky with the order in my own playthrough since Maia's romance dialogue fired before anyone else's.
To change that flag you'd have to open up the cheat console by using the ~ key and then typing IRoll20s to enable cheats, but this will disable achievements! But from there you can change flags. Things might go awry if you do this, make sure you back up your saves! :)
Just posting to point out that if you're in the position where you need to use the console as Xiactorvi suggests, you needn't lose the ability to get achievements. There's a mod on this very site that keeps achievements working after you've enabled cheat codes. Just search for "cheat" on this site. :)
How does one install the XaiaMoti patch? Should it be in it's own separate folder within Override or should it overwrite the content in the polymod folder?
Also, this was asked below and unanswered: The root folder in the XM patch is "conversation", but the root folder in polymod is "conversations". Incorrect installation could be causing lots of the XM issues, but if the XM patch is to be installed over the content within polymod then you just need to drag the companions folder from the XM patch into the conversations folder of polymod.
I don't know why but though it's optional and the optional file seems to be of a format that would indicate to overwrite, both XM files are identical (I compared the code), so maybe the patch has already been applied to the main file.
I know this has been asked before several times but im not sure if the xoti/maia relationship optional file should go before or after the original mod file in the load order. I've also heard that getting this relationship to start on its own without mods is buggy at best. Aside from that the mod seems to work fine, great work! :)
I can confirm it appears to be working with version 5.0. I cannot tell if the Maia/Xoti optional patch works since they do not seem to be romancing even though I have had them in my party for most of my game?
Though it possible that it just bad luck and not patch (from all I read it seems buggy+hard to trigger but idk had them most game even went ahead and cheated up their points together after that and still nuttin.
Running normalized json diff against 5.0.0.0040 for both main mod and the addon, there only variable check overrides and removed "romance already active" nodes, so yeah, both components should work exactly same as they did, as underlying files didn't change.

I just don't understand how to do that " by removing or editing flags dealing with relationships " ?
i have to edit my save ?

I'll have the update up shortly!
EDIT: It's in the Journal Screen, although it doesn't seem to list values that aren't set? Also can use regular console command PrintGlobal

.json.txt → .json I think
