Does not work on existing saves (will leave Modwyr's enchant menu blank). If you plan on downloading this, you need to start a new game. I wasted 40 mins of my life trying to make this work on an existing save, so you don't have to. The fix listed by the author of deleting Modwyr prior to installing does not work. Long story short - start a new game, or don't use the mod.
Just to add, this works on an existing save IF you install this before the conversation where you decide whether to keep Modwyr's soul or not. Installing after this decision is made will not allow you to get the modded Modwyr.
Items have the options that are loaded from the games. In this case, your modded items do not need to be re-acquisition(re-root). But many options are loaded simply from your save file. In this case, to apply your mod, you have to re-get it. It is the rule always in this game, don't forget it.
Does this still work? I got the mod before starting a game but after finishing Modwyr's 'quest' I can only talk to it, no enchanting. As far as I'm concerned, I have no mods that change it...
The visual effects are absolutely hideous. (No offense to you, if you like them.) I have no experience coding but I've tried to find a way to remove them myself, but to no avail.
Please refer to the following contents of the DESCRIPTION:
How to Install:
1. If an earlier version of this mod is installed, delete it before installing. 2. Unzip and copy "\Modwyr - Keep Soul" folder to "***\Pillars of Eternity II\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\Override" folder as follows: ***\Pillars of Eternal II\PillarsOfEternalII_Data\Override\Modwyr - Keep Soul
(IMPORTANT) 1. The "\Modwyr - Keep Soul" folder should be installed under the override folder. That is, there should not be another folder between the two. 2. If you want to use a save file that already has the Modwyr, you must remove the sword from the game with Unity Console or cheat key before installing mod of new version.
Insane Lover and Sudden Attack aren't showing up for me at all. I got a save that is before I complete the prerequisites for obtaining the enchanted soul bound modwyr.
I already got Modwyr and kept it's soul, and it's already Legendary. After I installed the mod when opening the enchant window I see the new unique enchantments but Insane Lover and Sudden Attack aren't applied (and cannot be selected), so it's impossibile to upgrade to Bloodthirsty Blade and Concussive Attack. Is it an intended behaviour or a bug?
Insane Lover and Sudden Attack are base enchantments as stated in Description and have already been applied. That's why you can't choose. Upgrading Bloodythirsty Blade and Concussive Attack may not be possible because of the lack of ingredients needed to upgrade.
Actually I've all ingredients and gold required for the upgrade (and Insane Lover and Sudden Attack are not applied by default). Here you can see the screenshot: https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/images/32
Is it possible that there is some cap to the upgrades? I've already upgraded the sword to Legendary quality, could this have broken the upgrade tree?
It seems to have been caused by conflicts between the original data and mod of the game. Whether Modwyr is upgraded or not, installing this mod after Modwyr is obtained may not be fully applied. This problem does not only occur in this mod.
And Modwyr in this mod has a base quality of Legendary. If not, there is a conflict as mentioned earlier.
The solution may be to start a new game, acquire Modwyr again, or check and rule out any mod that conflicts with that mod. First of all, I recommend that you delete the existing ones and call it back using the unity console or cheat. If it doesn't work, try another way.

EDIT: Nevermind! I figured it out.

The current mod operates normally without bugs.
