Unfortunately, this mod doesn't seem to work anymore. I've tried it using the latest Steam version on my single class Cipher. I've tested both the 'Default' and the 'Cheat' versions, neither works. Any ideas on how to fix this? Alternatively, do you know of any other mods that grant the same (or similar) effect?
EDIT 1: Actually, scratch that. Both versions work fine. For anyone in the future who's under the impression that the mod doesn't work, this is because the extra points appear AFTER you have distributed your default points and you have pressed "Next".
EDIT 2: That said, I would really love to see a mod that enables these extra points only for the Watcher instead of everyone in the team. I like the idea of my Watcher being a bit more powerful than the rest of the team. If anyone knows how to achieve such an effect, please let me know.
works great with deadfire version 5, you can open the mod file and add even more spell choices if 1 or 2 every few levels is not enough (ie playing on highest difficulty with difficulty mods installed)
make sure you get multiclass level cap unlocked mod also, so you can get the highest level spells even when you are multiclassed (without modifying the game DLL file but i have done this also but prefer not to modify the dll unless really needed)
I know these posts are old, but let me write this for future users of this mod. And I apologize that I am using a translator and am not a native English speaker. I don't know if this is the original spec, but by default it is set to increase only 1 point per set level, so I could not get all the abilities. So, you can increase the number of ability points per level up by opening the .gamedatabundle file in the downloaded file with a text file and replacing the "Points": 1, with a number of your choice.However, please note that if you set the number too high, you will not be able to finish the level-up. My apologies if this does not work.
Hey, why don't you add +1 ability point at levels where you receive only 1 AP? This way there won't be a difference between multiclass and one-class characters such as +4 points for one-class characters and +8 for multiclass characters.
Just a PSA: if you think this might be OP, it does have a sort of not-OP use: The standard one 5,10,15,20 is great for adding those little not-so-terribly OP QOL abilities, like extra pockets and weapon slots, without having to fiddle with the console commands.
That is, if you can restrain yourself from adding more "proper" abilities :)
The default version works. Loaded it above Multiclass Level Cap Unlocked. It'll give you an extra point at level 5,10,15 and 20. Used it with Multiclass Character, at level 10 it'll give you 1 extra point for both classes (2+2 extra points) from what I can remember, and so on and so on. Using it on latest version, turn based mode.
Hey mod works but i can't use serafen with it. at level 4 to 5 he get's an extra point yet you already has everything maxed out. so you can't procede to level him further. any fixes for this?
What parameter should I modified so that I will not get an extra point when unlock new abilities ? I want to make my character get two ability points every level no matter singleclass or muticlass
It worked, sort of. I'm using the default version. According to description, my multiclass character should have 2 bonus points at lv5, but each one only get 1 bonus point, except Xoti who got 2 bonus as intended (my party curently have my main, Eder, Xoti and Aloth, all are multiclassing). My previous playthrough with the exact same mod had Serafen got 1 less point at lv5, all other characters at that time got bonus as intended (yes all characters are multiclassing). Tbh, I'm a little disappointed that the mod did not work as intended but it's a great mod anyway.
