EXTREMELY shitty of this mod to alter Ydwin's stats without saying so.
PSA: This mod doesn't just add a coat and a weapon, but it also alters Ydwin's stats to be radically different from that of the original game. Among other things, it gives her Perception 19, Intellect 18, and Constitution 4(!).

I was also looking into it to see how possible it would be to change the weapon from a blunderbuss to a pistol, since she seems more like a refined duelist type than a shotgunner like Serafen. But if it mods her stats to something nuts, then, well, I'm just not gonna bother.
Just go into Ydwin's_Coat\design\gamedata\characters and edit the gamedatabundle file with Notepad++ or similar program and set Ydwins Stats back to stock or what ever else you want it doesn't take much time.
Place the "Ydwin's_Coat" folder that you downloaded in the "override" folder (Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\override) which you might have to create if you haven't already. Most mods that don't specify where they're supposed to go, generally goes there.
Strange. I presume you checked the mod in the mod manager? If you already recruited Ydwin (or loaded the map where she is) before you activated the mod, she won't get the new armor. If that's the case, you could enable the console, and enter "iroll20s", then "GiveItem Coat_Ydwin", though that would disable achievements.
I wanted the coat for myself for roleplay but when I cheated it in it looks like on the icon instead of how it looks on Ydwin. Is the appearance exclusive to Ydwin ?
