So some enemies get armor as high as 23 with this mod. Am i doing something wrong or is this supposed to happen? I'm not using the exact mod due to some bugs that came from the EnemyAttrinbutes.gamedatabundle but i took the values out of there into another file and this got me armor 23 on some enemies. I think "LevelScalingArmorModifier": 2 is probably a little too high?
I actually finished one playthrough with this. Although, it maybe bias since I am the one who made it.
However, i could have constant challenges from the beginning until the guardian of ukaizo because of the new penetration rules I introduced.
You need to keep upgrading your armor too since the cap of armor - penetration ratio is up to 15 with my mod. For example, if enemy penetration is 20 and your armor is only 5, they will deal 7x (+700%) damage
Vanilla, DD or other difficulty mod don't touch this. Their cap of armor - penetration ratio is only up to 2 (translated into +30% damage).
Fampyr is definitely harder even on high level because I make the enemy also act faster.
I also play 2 run-throughs with DD so I know how easy it was on certain point.
If you don't mind, would you help me try this and share your experience?
ok i will try, just installed and patched everything just one thing, fampyr harder omg... that was the only thing which was uber ridiculous nonsense hard in my two playthroughs before, tho i wasnt using that priest supress affliction, maybe that will help, i did playthrough with just druid heals... because xoti is so meh...
also... scaling on ship boarding would be so good to disable somehow... whole game fps performance is just lol, but ship battles, junk, more people, mages, thats just... sad... 10fps ftw... and it doesnt even make any sense, to scale those
Apologies if this mod made the beginning of the game too much to handle. I already updated to 1.2 to make it easier for lower level (or more like 1st island). Please let me know which one is better. Any input, idea, or opinion is very much appreciated since I think game balancing is a very tough challenge.
Regarding "Obsidian: It doesn't matter how many new bugs you introduce each time you release new patch, you will still be one of my fav devs!"

I'm not saying they are perfect and the story is really interesting. But I always judge by their books / products / games. Business is messy and if I want to judge every decision from a tech company, I will end up boycotting everything (since I'm a bit idealist, I think).
I've worked in one of the biggest PC gaming franchise myself and I know it's not as good / great as it seems on the outside. I still want to know the kind of story that you share, though it doesn't affect my judgement as long I like the products.
Awesome mod mate been looking for like this for some time now. Keep up the good modding
But while you where busty writing you life story in the very long description you forgot to add install instructions. Just a joke mate hehe So help me and others who want to use your mod how to install it because the mod comes in a folder called design(confusing).
Sorry, I thought anyone already knows lol... Yes, it should be in the override folder, like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity II\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\override\Higher_is_always_harder

So far all difficulty mods were quite unsatisfying (uber most hard epic fight first drake at ruins and gorecci street, then whole game boring af.)

Would it help?
I have tweaked the difficulty again on 1.4 which I think the last balance for the first and last encounters.
But, I'm not sure how it is on the Fampyr encounter now.

Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\exported\design\gamedata
Is that correct?
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity II\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\override\Higher_is_always_harder
override ? or
I think
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity II\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\override\Higher_is_always_harder
