A version that just removes the godlike backers would be kinda nice. They are the worst offenders in my opinion due to there being so many of them, and the game unfortunately feels to empty with all backers removed.
Great mod thank you so much ! When I first tried the game, seeing all those golden fancy characters with weird backstories populating the tiny desolate starting town just felt so weird, especially since nothing indicates that they're not important, so I wasted a while "interacting" with them... Thought it was just me and nobody cared about it that much, but years later you litterally fixed my game lol I'm 6 hours in so far and having a blast ! Thanks again :)
Doesn't seem to remove the ones on the bridge into Defiance Bay, but I haven't seen any anywhere else. It's bad enough that Hiravias "itches" his eye instead of "scratching" it. I'm not really interested in having 400 middleschool Coldsteel fanfics shoved in my face with giant golden spazznames.
second: I've never used patchwork before, I thought I followed the instructions, but when I open the patchwork launcher, and try to add the mod to active mods, I keep getting error screens popping up.
should I be installing the two files of the mod into the patchwork folder? I tried that to no avail. If I'm supposed to put them in the POE folder, I tried that too. I then tried splitting them up, putting one in each folder, all failed. Help plz?
What errors? I recommend just following the instructions here instead now. You don't need to do anything with the AppInfo.dll file if you download the mod patchwork launcher from that link, and you add the BackersBegone.pw.dll file following the instructions under "Installing mods".
I was giving for lost that someone would do it, finally, f*#@ the NPC backers xD would it be too much to ask to replace them with NPCs from the game so that some inns don't look too empty? hehe
