To add images just have an PNG that is 256x256 and put it into the PilotPortraits file.
After you reach the mod file for Phantom Brigade, click on the mod file itself, then textures, then UI, Then you'll find PilotPortraits click on it and you're in and from there if the image is 256x256 and a PNG file which you should be able to make your own PNG file in MS Paint. I'll go over that just in case. But assuming you have images that fit the 256x256 and PNG requirements than you're good just drop it in and you're good to go.
On taking images and making them 256x256 and into PNG just place that image into MS Paint (Note I'm using Windows 11 version) and go to resize and shew (Ctrl+W) and go into pixels and enter in 256 into both dimensions. Then save it as a PNG file and you're good to go and drop it into the PilotPortraits files in the mod.

Overall if you have more questions please ask and I'll more than glad to help out to the best of my ability and overall enjoy.
Thanks a lot finally gotten em to work, guess my issue was the size. Love the og gundam series, especially Zeon's zaku mobile suits; now all we're missing is some madlad to import some bootleg models n some liveries and we can play as Char The Red Comet!!!
Man I would love it if someone makes a mod that makes the mechs look like Zakus and GMs. Maybe one day some mad lad who is skilled in 3d modeling could help us out. Ironically such mod may end up increasing interest in this game. I came back to this game over the mod that allows you to field 6 mechs and after playing with that mod I got back into this game hard. I could see some mods that change the look of the mechs could help this game greatly.
here's a tip for anyone who reads it, if you go crazy with a lot of pictures (like a hundred or so) and for some godforsaken reason they're all in different sizes and formats here's some nifty tools. For bulk conversions yall can use a web app like picflow it'll make a downloadable copy in the chosen format and wallah everything's png. As for batch resizing you can install windows power tools (or download the og standalone version in some sketchy blog), after install pick all the pics and right, go to resize pictures, punch in the desire pixel count in custom and set to stretch so both x and y are the same, the perfect square in this case. Bulk renaming should be simple, highlight everything then right click n press rename on the one you want to be subject zero, input the name and press enter, will name everything the same only with a number added. ex. yami, yami(1), yami (2)... And that's bout it, hope it helps someone.
Edit: fill will cut the pics, stretch will make em fit.
Not going to lie, I may need that because I created a my own personal Waifu mod because I went overboard with the AI generations for pilots and have hundreds of non Gundam related female pilots and messing with LoRAs to get waifus in other series outfits and such. If I decide to post that mod for the fun of it I may need to use that to organize it.
