Alright. To install the mod what you're gonna have to begin with is getting an archive unpacking program for example, 7-Zip or Winrar. You'll need to install one of those, for this I'll be using 7-Zip but will not go over how to install it. If you don't have either just lookup how to install 7-Zip/Winrar.
To begin after getting 7-Zip/Winrar, we're gonna find the file we downloaded. It should be in your downloads folder. Once you find the file you're gonna right-click and hover the "7-Zip" option. Then click on "Open archive". After that, a window should come up with different folders. All you're gonna do is go to your Payday folder and extract these. So get to the Payday folder, then go into assets and there should be a folder called mod_overrides if there isn't, just create it with that exact name.
Once you get there, Highlight all the folders in the zip file and drag them into the mod_overrides folder. After dragging the files will need about 10 seconds to extract so just wait. After the Windows "moving files" thing is gone, you now have the mod! Congrats! But wait, there's more! Last step is just picking what you want, so for example, there's stuff like "Pol money" if you want the default money, then just delete that folder and the texture is gone. So once you've gone through all the ones you want and don't want, you're pretty much done. Have fun with the mod and hope you enjoy. :D
Vortex is a bit fucky on anything other than super open source games like Skyrim and Fallout. Manual is really easy though. Simply install SuperBLT for your game to be able to unpack and load the assets, and in your root Payday 2 folder make a folder called "Mods." Put BLT in there, and then any mod you download needs to be extracted to that folder. Don't move anything from these folders, just make sure everything is in "Mods" and their respective parent folders.
So I'm currently downloading Payday 2 for the first time and was wondering if installing this texture pack would prevent me from playing online while having this installed, and if it does let me play online, is there a risk of me getting banned or anything. Edit: So I looked into it a little bit and found out modding doesn't get you banned, but some mods can get you the cheater tag. I don't think this would qualify as a mod that would earn you the cheater tag but I am not 100% sure. If anyone could let me know that'd be awesome
