Coz you look like you actually know thing or 2, i would like to ask if there is a way to change ammo pickup for dmr kits only. I mean i know that if i get 25 for normal m4 i will get over 7 in dmr case, yet i just want rebalance, i think that 6-11 which is base for m4 is enough for m4 but 2-3 for dmr? thats not enough. i changed stats like fire rate so my m4 have the actual fire rate it is supposed to have, but 2-3 ammo per pickup is just absolutely stupid. sniper rifles have 2-4,7 that would be enough for dmr coz dmr is a worse sniper rifle with better fire rate in this case. cant pen walls if you ofc dont make it pen walls. so pls is there a way to change just the ratio and not putting in 12 amo pickup min to have reasonable ammount?
For those who can't launch the game, there are two main files in this mod, "AmmoPickupRebalance.lua" and "AmmoPickupRebalanceParts.lua". The problem is the file "AmmoPickupRebalanceParts.lua". It appears that there are more contents in weapon parts files after the recent updates which made the codes written in this file mismatched with the original in the game folder. The simplest solution is to just delete this file. Fortunately, most coding modifying the number of ammo picked up is in the file named "AmmoPickupRebalance.lua", so as long as you keep this, you should still be able to pick up more ammo than in vanilla just fine.
New version uploaded. So yeah, the mess that is making dmr kits and such work properly is horrible, since the mod has to include the entire list of weapon parts and only change the specific ones needed. I'm not touching the gun parts anytime soon.
This mod doesn't trigger the cheater tag. That tag is triggered when a player equips things from a DLC they don't own or when a player puts down too many deployables, yes, the system is ineffective like that, doesn't even trigger when someone has too many skill points. Being kicked because of it is a matter of the host not liking your mod choices.
Hey man, I don't know if you can help me, but I'm trying to add the Akimbo Igor Automatik to the mod using your exact same format, but the game won't even open if I put the code in your mod. What I'm adding is self.x_stech.AMMO_PICKUP = {10.75, 43} --Igor Automatik. If I remove that, it works fine. OH nvm, I figured it out.
i did exactly that but can it cause an issue if the 5/7 AP minimum value is 4 and the max is 3.5? EDIT: i changed the first value to 4.5 and the second value to 6.5 and still not working
Did you change self.lemming.AMMO_PICKUP = {0.875,3.5} --5/7 APinto self.lemming.AMMO_PICKUP = {4.5,6.5} --5/7 AP ? It should work as soon as you save it and reload the game.
Right, so from what you've told me so far it seems the mod just doesn't work on your end. Or at least doesn't work with 5/7. I haven't played payday 2 in about a year so I'm completely unaware of any updates that might've changed things around. Are you checking if it's working or not with something like More Weapon Stats?
Also I've ran out of ideas, if BLT reports the mod as installed and active, it doesn't work and it also doesn't crash the game that means the necessary hooks have changed. At the very least try reinstalling the mod, if it works then it means w/e software you used to edit the text added junk to it while saving, if it still doesn't work then it's not something I can help fix over forum messages.

The numbers in there are {min, max} per ammo box, before the boost from skills or perk cards apply.
Edit it as you like.
