Maybe it's not as bad in action but image #3 the grass looks much more colorful, sharp and "individual". Whereas in the original it looks more natural and spread-out
Yeah, the look of the grass is really gonna come down to individual taste. If you like the rest of the changes but don't like the grass, you can safely delete the file weed_all#DXT1.tex from this pack after downloading and the game should fall back on the compressed vanilla textures. But, since the grass texture is part of the same image file as many of the weeds, herbs, and lilies, it will also revert those back to vanilla as well.
FYI I'm not actively modding Pathologic at the moment, in part because I'm having a hell of a time getting the game to run on my new PC and don't feel like troubleshooting it. But, it would be simple enough for me to make a 'merged' version that keeps the vanilla grass + new herbs. You can expect that to show up as an optional file for download either later today or tomorrow!
Hii, I don't know if this will be helpful, but if you're still looking for textile textures you could try the Smithsonian Open Access site (si.edu/openaccess), they have a lot of high-resolution pictures of old rugs/carpets which are CC0 or public domain
