Even though minor, it actually makes a major difference in how hard the game feels. I installed it because the playthrough would be ruined otherwise, and in half a day I felt like Action Artem (the protagonist from Metro 2033, who also dies quite easily on Ranger Hardcore). This brought Pathologic's difficulty to about that level.

I'll uninstall the mod after this recovery, as it starts to feel too action-like. With the new fatigue recovery and slightly slower timescale, there's now time to do some looting on the side, so I get why the creators wanted players to experience the game on Imago first: these few percent of time, stamina, etc make the difference between barely-survivable and merely nintendo-hard. A very different game. But the slightly improved inventory is definitely useful. And it's not as aggressive as Breathing Room, which is definitely more of a completionist mod.

So you've been warned, even this small tweaks really makes the game less special. But thanks for it -  at least now I know what this game would feel like if it merely tested the player rather than outright hate them.
    1. Given that before this game I played Metro games on highest difficulties with "immersive" UI I had no issues with P2 imago difficulty which is how I completed the game first time. This mod definitely should be used after first imago playthrough (or at least after imago turned out too difficult) as it softens some "features" from this mode that makes second playthrough more annoying than challenging, e.g. less inventory management and travels to base, better chances to save everyone if player has such goal in mind, faster city traversing etc.

All changes are helpful, including the stack changes and your criteries for each stack number. I'd still enjoy a number of stacks per durable item. I could change this for myself but I don't know what item stands for each ID. How did you manage to know that? Thank you!
    1. There is no easy way unless you write a parser yourself. Manually the easiest way would be to install visual studio code and open <steam_root>\steamapps\common\Pathologic\Data\VirtualMachine\PathologicSandbox folder in it.
Now you can open 3 files at the same time for ease of search and start with searching the name of the item you want to modify in english.txt, then use its id to find in Parameter.xml to which item it belongs. then in Item.xml find the item itself: Example with a picklock
Then search the id from Storable.DefaultStackCount in Item.xml and modify its value to your liking: Picklock stack count
Practically you can only use Item.xml and Parameter.xml as you can figure out items by their internal name, e.g. picklock has Lockpick_Entity name.

Despite what I have heard Pathologic 2 Is very unforgiving but otherwise easy if you know what you are doing and plan your routes properly you can get and stay ahead, I am playing with the hard eco mod, I've increased hunger and exhaustion to 110%, I refused to cure my plague, Everyone is alive and healthy, I've even donated food to Lara and still, I am doing amazing

However, once you are behind it is very easy to get caught in a death spiral and a blind playthrough without save scumming can be absolutely brutal
