Q: Game crashes, halp! A: Game can crash with or without mod, its in EA. But if you have have consistent crashes with specific mod installed do next: 1) set bUseUObjectArrayCache to false in the UE4SS-settings.ini file. 2) install UE4SS signatures (see requirements while downloading mod) 3) if version from Main Files crashes, try the same version but from Optional Files, they made in different way script wise.
Q: Game/save loads fine, but mod doesn't work as intended, halp! A: Double check if you followed Installation instructions. If you sure you did: 1) try the same version but from Optional Files, they made in different way script wise. 2) if you using version from Main Files make sure you added respective line to mods.txt (some mods work without it, but most don't). 3) organize my mods in the next order: PalBoxReorganizedX : 1 DeadBodiesDespawnInstantlyX : 1 MoreStatPointsX : 1 MoreTechnologyPointsX : 1 MaxLevelIncreasedX : 1 BetterShieldUltimateX : 1 BetterRidingGroundMountsX : 1 BetterSellRatesX : 1 NoMoreBurningBasesX : 1 NoDamagedEquipmentPenaltiesX : 1 AutoSaveTimeX : 1 LessRestrictiveBuilding : 1 LessMapShroudX : 1 MoreMarkersX : 1 HUDFadeOutNever : 1 NoMoreWildPalsOnYourBase : 1 ConfigurableExpGainX : 1
Q: UE4SS 2.5.2 or 3.0.0? A: Both work fine with my mods. I haven't seen the differences stability wise.
Q: Do I really need signatures for Palworld 0.1.4? People says they are not needed anymore. A: Some mods will work without signatures, but some absolutely wont.
Q: I have issues installing mod on dedicated server. A: Read article.
NOTES Works on both new and existing characters! If you can't gain more exp for 50/65 lvl character, make sure game saved at least one and restart the game, exp and lvl will start growing again.
If game crashed on the start/load, try to set bUseUObjectArrayCache to false in the UE4SS-settings.ini file. You may also need to install UE4SS signatures (see required files).
CHAGHELOG 1.03 - there seems to be a hard cap at lvl 80 (no acquirable from lvl 79), changed versions according to it (kudos to SSJKurisu for finding it). Also fixed pals going beyond character level occasionally. 1.10 - added Eld3rBrain edits to scripts (kudos to them!), should increase mod stability. 1.12 - added hook for servers, should work reliably on dedicated servers now.
for Palworld 0.2.1.0 mod is working in SP and Co-op normally. server hook doesn't work anymore, but people report that for some mods "activating" mod in SP first then joining dedicated server makes mod work for them.
its good mod and works nicely but I got some problem now. Im currently lv.56 and found a lv.65 lyleen in forbidden area as a lucky pal. The problem is, I couldnt catch lv.65 lyleen with more than 200 legendary sphere. its not just because of catch rate, even legendary sphere bounced because of level gap. Is there any futrue option or soultion for it?
Late on the reply, but the only way I've come across is to use a mod that gives 100% capture rate. Obviously that's super cheesy, but when I've done everything else there is to do I just limit myself to only using legendary spheres for a slight drawback.
You can configure 3 settings in notepad for this mod.
The first setting is your player level cap The second is guild level cap? maybe thats referring to pals idk haven't tested it. The third is the level cap that the world scales up to.
So if you pick lv60, everything in the game will increase in level by 20% because 50>60 is a 20% increase in levels. a level 10 becomes a level 12. Lv50s become lv60.
I just keep the third option at 50 so i can level beyond everything in the game until i get bored.
This mod does not appear to be working underneath linux. I've tried the lv200 version and nothing within the has changed, all the pals around me still have the same default lvs. Also, i do not appear to gaining any XP at lv 89 and nor my pals lv up pass lv 50. Is there anyway to fix this?
Note: i am not getting any start up issues or errors, game boots up as usual.
Any chance you can create a mod where the exp growth rate per level is locked to 2,000,000 past lv50. Doing this would allow you to have endless levels past 50. It's capped at 79 because that 2147483648 number in exp was reached and the game can't produce an integer for lv80 because it would be like 2.5 billion.
It also keeps leveling time decent, by lv77 without exp buffs you're going to be stuck there for a while unless you saved a bunch of capture bonuses which scale to your exp required amount.
As a thought, to get around the max player level of 79, the below is a suggestion that I thing would be pretty popular:
After reaching your selected max level (for example, let's say vanilla lvl of 50), you could have the option to reset your level but gain a permanent stat bonus (or otherwise retain your level, but still be able to gain one extra player stat point every "X" amount of experience points).
Other games' functions for inspiration that come to mind are Skyrim's "Legendary" (which resets skill levels to allow you to continue gaining stat points) or Diablo's "Paragon" system (which is a separate system to allow you to simply gain perks beyond max level).
I have absolutely no idea if this is feasible in Palworld, but I would love to continue gaining QoL stats beyond level 50.
Is there any intention to update support for dedicated servers with the new update? XP is being gained but it is going into the negatives in the tab menu.
