Is there ANY chance we can convince you to release a version/versions that is just the speed increase with none of the tweaks? You currently seem to have the only mount speed mod that doesn't crash the game.
I'm running through the game with my fiancee, but I just want to speed mounts up to a comfy level, and let her experience the rest of the game as-is for the first time through.
lol no it is not a lot of work to remove the infinite speed. Shouldn't have released a community mod if you aren't willing to do anything int he sake of "Well i wont ever use it"
Only Lunaris was given lv4 handcrafting, This isn't a "All pals lv4 trait" mod. Chillet was given lv2 cooling because honestly it makes sense and pocketpair will someday do this change to chillet because chillet ignis has lv2 kindling so it only makes sense than the cooling version of it has lv2 as well. And the depresso movespeed change isn't really noticeable.
So I want to start off by saying that ALL of the changes in this mod are fantastic. In fact, I personally like the expresso and Chillet changes, and Had a separate mod to have infinite flying stamina.
However, I think a lot of these should be separate mods. All of the pal edits could be a "Palworld Balancing Mod" instead of bundled into a flying mod. Would allow others who don't want the pal edits, to still download THIS mod. And allow people OCD like me, to be able to separate and categorize your two mods.
It also allows me to troubleshoot easier, when things get buggy. For example, if Cattiva started running away at Mach 10, I wouldn't suspect "Increase Mount Speed" to be the culprit. (Just an example scenario, not actually a bug I've seen yet)
I wish i could do that but this is a limitation of UEassetGUI. All the mods i bundle are all on the same data table. Which means other versions would conflict because they are all fighting for the same data table.
I'd have to learn a new modding software that can do logic mods that can overlap, Which i got someone on my case about it daily so who knows I might make the switch some day.
Interesting. Ive not modded Palworld, but Ive made mods for Stardew, and Im familiar with collections of data limiting how much you can edit at one time. That's a bummer, but all the same I'm liking what Im seeing so far!
If you would like just the pal edits and not the speed enhancement, let me know. I made a mod that only changes the pals to what is described in the description and everything else pal/speed wise was untouched.
By using FModel, The PalowrldModdingKit, and Wwise, you can make logic mods inside unreal, It uses pakchunks instead of the certain data table which can stack on top of each other, supposedly. Haven't tested it fully but working on it. Just a little confusing using Blue Prints instead of changing values on a data table. But I highly recommend looking into it if you haven't and want to do more.
hi there, you guys find increase speed mod here you can try this mod 【MoreGameWorldSettings】
it can increase your sprint speed, sliding speed, climbing speed and swimming speed。 and still work now 31/1/2025. other speed mods had already outdated and crash the game you can try this mod, change the config file as the change log below
“0.4.11 : Removed GliderSP and BuildExp as they are no longer working. I will add them back as soon as I find a workaround. Added the following new settings (Find them under Character Modifiers in config.lua). SprintMaxSpeed sets maximum speed while sprinting, SlidingMaxSpeed sets maximum speed while sliding, ClimbMaxSpeed sets maximum speed while climbing, InWaterRate sets water depth to begin swimming, DashSwimMaxSpeed sets maximum speed while dash swimming.”
Lua mods that control speed are more prone to crashes. I had my fair share of crashes with "speed runner"
Lua mods are still great but if you experience lots of crashes, the first thing you should think about is a speed altering lua mod.
lua mods are also prone to lag, Like in the case with the lua mod that tried to adjust the condenser cost. that's because the script had to run every time the condenser was opened.
Bit of a bad show advertising your own mod on someone else's, but I think what they may mean in this case is that their mod is a good one to run alongside (lua crashes aside). I use this mod and it doesn't have mount speed in it at all, it all affects the character :) so a good one to have if you want to be like 'gotta go fast' in every aspect.
I am very sorry, I did not intend to promote my mod because it was not developed by me. I just wanted to give some friends who have encountered many crashing problems an option. I spent several hours trying to find a mod that can change the character's movement speed, but that was the only mod I personally tested that could work and not cause any crashes.
And I think the only bad thing is the slow character movement speed, not the Pal movement speed. Fenglope and Jetragon are great transportation tools
