1- Are you on Steam Single player. 2- Did you rename the pak file and delete the "_P"...don't do that 3- Did you rebuild your palbox, palboxes keep the range and become independent of game files 4- Do you have any mods that use BP_Playergamesettings installed, if you do then it won't work. 5- Did you unzip the file and drop just the pak file into the pak folder 6- Did you set up the UE4SS and Xinput for modding in general 7- Are you playing on the most recent version of Palworld 4.12.
you have to destroy and replace your palbox to make the new range work. Some of the production type stuff in your base will break so you'll have to rebuild all of that too
I have a question, in the Palshchema the DT you are using is "BP_PalGameSetting_C", But in the original Pak file I didn't could finde that file, or "BaseCampAreaRange" How is that?
Uff I rlly don't get it. No matter what I do, it just doesn't work. The blue circle is the only thing that works but as soon as I walk a step further, I am out of materials / base range. Tried installing the newest version of Palschema and the 2.1 Beta and Ultimate_Base Range_PalSchema 200 still is not working and it's located at Win64>mods>Palschema>mods>"Base Range Mod", even tried to put it in Win64>ue4ss>Mods>Palschema still no use. Ofcourse I've rebuild the Palbox.
2.1 had this quirk where you needed a special config file that enabled blueprint schemas which for some reason was never included in the download.
3.3 bakes that in as a default on.
If it still doesn't work then it might be your UE4SS not being the experimental version. The contents of the UE4SS folder that contains a bunch of stuff including a mods folder and a few config and .dll files go into the win64 folder.
Thanks for reply. I have done that. downloaded 3.3 replaced it with the 2xx version and copy pasted UE4SS files into win64 and still, not working. I just don't know how to make that work. Maybe a video might help. Like the experimental version, not sure whats that supposed to be because I can not seem to find the UE4SS experimental version on their website. Srlsly why is modding so complex and hard. When will the time come where modding is just copy paste and BAM works. :(
I finally got it to work. I have installed the Vortex Palschema with the Vortex programm and exchanged the files with the freschly downloaded 3.3 Palschema and put the Base Range mod in that Palschema mods folder. Its looking like this now and it's FINALLY working. Thanks for reply :D
This might be a stupid question, but how do i install this mod? My game is vanilla with this mod installed, except for the blue line mod, which is the only mod that works.
Huh. My Palschema location is in Win64>ue4ss>Mods>Palschema... Bro pal schema isn't in 0.2.1 anymore. It's in 0.3.1. And I've tried updating the location myself, but it does not work. Please update your directory and installation information - it does not work with your directions. (the blue line pak works fine, but not the actual json script)
I updated the 40 Condenser mod on the Condenser mod Condenser Mod
Palschema is better so i'm retiring the old method of making mods. The old method was horrible, every time a mod breaks id have remake the entire mod from scratch. UAssetGui isn't able to read the old mods data and i was never able to work out how to input data into that for a quick update workflow.
The only downside is Palschema is harder to setup than UAssetGui pak mods. But Palschema offers more compatibility and it won't break unless palschema itself breaks.
Which means updates aren't days of reckoning for all your mods.
Palschema can't do the condenser mod yet so its still in the UAssetGui Pak format.
Maybe soon, But I might downside to only maintaining the 100% version since I got Palschema for this now. But I know there are people who will never get Palschema running so I'll keep the 100% alive.
But making 24 mods per patch cycle which is like every 2 weeks it seems isn't very sustainable. Palschema mods tend to survive patch cycles relying solely on palschema to keep working or not. You can also customize the numbers in palschema mods by opening the json
since this is the only base range mod i've seen updated for the latest patch... is the blue circle the only part i need if I just want the bigger base range?
Alternatively how compatible is this with the current palschema version of https://www.nexusmods.com/palworld/mods/2166 ?
The blue circle doesn't change base range, it's purely a visual thing.
I'm going to be looking into Palschema to see if i can make base range work with the json targeting that dataset. Not sure if i can make the blue circle into a json as well.
That mod you linked doesn't seem to include a lot of stuff from palgamesettings for some reason.
Thanks for the Palschema version! It looks like it would have conflicted as there are a lot of settings from "BP_PalGameSetting_C" that are modified here and in the overhaul mod now I can use both by commenting out the options on one mod!
I got this workinng but yesterday I started to get "Corrupt Data Found." Removing from game stops this error. What happened? I don't think tehre was an update, was there? I had a few mods do this and I just spent 2 days trying to rule out the issues. i get this corruption. What mods interfere with it?
https://www.nexusmods.com/palworld/mods/837 Compatibility check Why cause the other mod doesn't list if it modifies BP_Playergamesettings I'll run them side by side to check and update this comment when I finish checking Pals on base increased then Option world settings extension combined with this mod only.

You will need to export as a json to see whats inside system, it doesn't seem to show it all in Fmodel.
Or you export as raw data and can read it with UAssetGui.
doing so just requires a rightclick on the system folder and it will export to the Fmodel>Exports folder.
The condenser is a T Map structure which isn't supported by Palschema at this time.

Try this Ue4ss version
from this guide https://okaetsu.github.io/PalSchema/docs/installation
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64\mods\PalSchema\mods
This is the only mod installed.
Win64>mods>Palschema>mods>"Base Range Mod">Blueprint>Json
is how it should look.
https://github.com/Okaetsu/PalSchema/releases You go here to get Palschema 2.1
Simply unzip it and drop it into the spot mentioned above.
You may also need to change the config of it so blueprints are enabled
Use the 2.1-Beta version for now
