Latest updates kinda broke this mod. Now the Pals whose models have been modified by this mod, fly to the moon whenever they get into ragdoll state. That also include Pals that were knocked away by weapons like the Rocket Launcher.
This has actually always been in the mod and I never got around to fixing it. Latest version also crashes if you use one of the versions with custom subspecies.
This mod causes crashes in the new version of Palworld. Until this mod is updated, I recommend playing an older version of Palworld or disabling this mod while playing.
Specifically the drops portion of the mod. I am currently using the visual-only mod (default subspecies) without issues, but if I put on the 'default drops' file, the game will crash.
This is lovely. Is there a version that changes the Katress and Katress Ignis models visually, but doesn't change the work suitabilities? Wixen can change to w/e, but I'd like to keep the Katress Ignis with its fire and medicine suitability.
There is a default subspecies option file that adds the visual changes but keeps katress ignis and it's work suitability. The primary file isn't required just the optional.
I tried that initially but it didn't seem to change Katress Ignis' appearance. Is the only way to have green Katress Ignis to have the type and suitabilities changed? or did I do something wrong and need to try again
The default subspecies version doesn't change the colors of the subspecies version but it does apply the model changes similar to the default version. If you want a green katress ignis, you will have to edit the main mod file and remove the DT_PalMonsterParameter_Common.uasset.
It appears the modes textures were loaded correctly but the model is using the default. Do you know if any of your other mods could affect the pals model? Also which version of the mod are you using so I can check for myself?
Like Colorless Said you will need to update your mods for the elemental changes from the newest patch, while you do this can you change the skill from Wixen Ryu "Black Lord Fox" to something to do with dragon or fire? Right now, it make you do dark damage but most of the time you will fight again dark Pals with Wixen Ryu, so you do a lot less damage to them.

Changing the pal skill to match the pal subspecies was one of my original goals but I wasn't able to figure out how to do so. Either the pal skills are hard coded or I wasn't able to locate the file that does so. In the meantime, the files have been updated to include v.4.14 pal typing changes.
I should also mention that I started a similar mod for Nyafia. It's practically already done but I put off making the last few changes. I'll try to finish it soon since you brought up added more pals.
Hello, I adore this mod and I feel like I don't even need to post this because you are so on top of things. But after the newest update this mod when installed prevents killamari, mamorest, and mamorest cryst from having their new types. (Dark/Water), (Wood/Ground), (Ice Ground).

You only need 1 files (I use the default drop as well), and I just tested to make sure and my Katress Botan got both grass and dark element, maybe you have a mod conflict?
Would you be willing to do a video showing how you made this mod? Like if you decided to do it again for another species, I would love to see how its done.
One of my biggest issues with Palworld is how many Dark-types there are. Way too many, making a third of all Pals. A project I would like to do is re-balancing type distributions by re-typing many Pals. Which is exactly what you've done with this mod.
Sorry but I dont plan on creating a video. There are guides online on how to create mods for palworld. You should be able to open the .pak file using FModel and see what files I changed. The file for change a Pals type is called DT_PalMonsterParameter.uasset or DT_PalMonsterParameter_Common.uasset. You should be able to edit these types of files using UAssetGUI. Other pal data such as paldeck entry, names, spawn location, drops, move pool, model, and textures can be changed if desired. I do agree there are a lot of dark type pals and an entire new island of mostly dark type pals didn't help. If you have any questions, let me know or try joining a discord for modding.
