Changelogs
Version 1.3
Crash fixes.
Allow food items to overflow into regular storage if no food storage is available.
Version 1.2
Fixed a bug that prevented items from being transported in bases.
Added checks for food items to prefer fridges/coolers and regular items to prefer other storage.
Version 1.1
Added additional checks for stability.
Added config option to toggle pickup of items outside of bases.
The default behavior for resource gathering in Palworld results in piles of items rather than a stacked drop, such as when the player drops a stack from their inventory. This results in transport pals behaving very poorly - they pick up a single item each trip rather than multiple items to fill their carrying capacity. As a result, a pal's work suitability for transport is largely irrelevant as they almost never reach their carrying capacity under normal conditions.
Though my RakMergeDrops mod can help alleviate this issue, performance on large servers can still suffer as pals need to "verify" that merged items no longer exist in the world. This mod simply automatically places items into a chest when inside of a base, or into the nearest player's inventory when outside.
Warning: this mod makes transport pals entirely useless, as items will be automatically placed into a chest.
Works on v0.1.5.1 for both single player and multiplayer (mod only needs to be installed on the server).
Manual installation:
Install UE4SS (https://github.com/UE4SS-RE/RE-UE4SS) by following the instructions within.
If running on a dedicated server, install the UE4SS LogicMod fix above.
