Tested in Reshade 6.0.0, could work with older versions (at least the preset "Cellshading.ini"), you may notice some dps drops, I only loose 2 fps from 79 to 77 in a static view with shadows and grass at high settings and the rest at epic at 1080p, no dlss, tra aa (not sure if just instaling reshade cause a fps drops like in some other games for some weird reason, but reshade is pretty light).

Instruction:
-Download Reshade and install it for dx10/11/12 and select Palworld-Win64-Shipping.exe at \Steam\steamapps\common\Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64\Palworld-Win64-Shipping.exe or similar. Download all filters if plan to use other ones, for this you need at least Standard Effects, SweetFX, QUINT, Astray, Legacy, color effects by prd80 and RSRetroArch.
-Download "CellShading Palworld" file and extract it at your Palworld-Win64-Shipping.exe location.
-"Home" key opens Reshade menu as default, click on "ReshadePreset" and then sellect "CellShading" (if you don't know how to use Reshade read the tutorials that pop ups the firs time you open it or just google it).

Note: "Effect Quality" settings may need to be set to epic or you may see flickering in the sky. The flickering is in my game even with the shadders off, so not sure if it is caused from other mods I had installed, reshade itself or my pc, so this may not be in your game.

This shader also helps to "hide" some things so you can easily drop some settings if you want and the game still looks perfectly fine.

Result may change from monitor to monitor. Most likely too dark at night for most people (vanilla night is already dark for some people), but I like that at survival games to force us to use torches at nigh or something else (or stay at base, I for sure would not be exploring at nigh at the wild if possible in real life unless I have a source of light). Easy to change in some of the filters enabled or other ones that aren't used.

Disable FilmicToneMap for less contrast, or disable cellshading for just a little better vanilla game (check video for references).

Recommend adding hotkeys at Reshade settings to enable/cicle filters.

Using "No HUD" and "No Fog" mods for showcase.

Time to keep enslaving my digielden palarkmon of the fortwild world!
