Reset your keybinds to default. If that doesn't work, delete the file "Outward/Player0_Keymappings.xml"
If your Mods are not working or being weird:
Backup your "Outward\SaveGames\" folder.
Delete the "Outward" folder completely.
Verify files in Steam or re-download the game.
Follow instructions to install my mods as outlined in the Description.
Be careful adding back Mods which have not been updated since before December 2020, they may not be working and may cause problems with other mods too.
please help I installed the mod as you said and there are no custom weight bindings there is a new setting for the slide mod but when I click it I can't find anything on custom weight =( Whereabouts is the custom weight mod settings meant to be? are they meant to be under the slide mod settings or in them? Here is my file pathway D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Outward\BepInEx\plugins\sinai-dev Custom Weight is custom weight meant to go inside the slide folder like this D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Outward\BepInEx\plugins\sinai-dev SideLoader ? I tried it and still no luck. I'm playing on "default mono"
I did a search on thunderstore.io for "Outward Config Manager" and nothing showed. Is that the correct name?
Update: YOU ARE THE MAN! THANK YOU for suggesting this, I finally got it working and without the OUtward Config Manager it simply doesn't work. I hope the modder adds that with instructions to his description.
Ive installed the mod correctly and installed the manager off of thunderstore, but when i press f5 it just brings up an empty menu. am i supposed to navigate somewhere within this manager?
I installed BepinEx 64 I then installed sideloader https://www.nexusmods.com/outward/mods/93 I then installed this mod.
I cannot figure out how to get this to work. This is the only mod I want and it is not working. I cannot interact with it in any way and it does not show up in sideloader that it is installed.
Is there a keybind I must hit for this to work? Does it just 'work' by simply installing it? Many people seem to be having this same issue.
UPDATE: I followed Heytherez's suggestion and installed Outward Config Manager, I hit f5 and was able to adjust the parameters. Without that, there is no way to change the settings so while your mod might be installed and 'working' it is stuck at the default settings which is the same if the mod was not installed. You should add this info to your description.
Love the configurability of this mod. Removing weight limits entirely does feel like removing a part of the game but you dont have to do that here! Getting to chose my own new limits is great!
Found a bug though :( When using bonus bag weight and loading a game while equipped with a bag that has weight over the "vanilla" weight limit, you will get burdened based on the vanilla weight (basically rooting you in place). This also seems to happen *sometimes* when picking up your bag after a death scenario. Moving any item in/out of the bag refreshes the burden calculation and will let you move again, but it's a little cumbersome to do every time you play.
Update: Can happen when picking up your bag even without a death scenario being involved. It's far from every time though and i havent worked out what the difference is on the various occasions it happens. Maybe it's a race condition between your mod adding a number to the carry weight and the game doing its burden calculation? In that case it would just be random who happens to come first.
Update 2: Alright, it's not a race, found the 100% reproducible case where it happens. It's whenever the game has to "reload" your bag. So any time you load into a save or any time your bag is in a zone before you are. So if you die and your bag is teleported before you are, it happens 100% of the time when you then pick it up. Similarly, if you leave your bag outside a dungeon or something, go in and then go back out and pick it up it will also happen 100% of the time.
Just a heads up anyone that can't get this mod working download you'll need to use Outward Config Manager ,downloaded separately off thunderstore and simply press f5 in game then you can change settings. Is working with update. I couldn't get it working without it. Have fun (=
I'm having the same problem. No menu appears in the settings. I extracted all files to the Outward folder. bepin, Sideloader, partially-wrapper, shared modconfig, and custom weight. Any tips?
I had the same issue I used Outward Config Manager ,downloaded separately off thunderstore, with it installed I just used f5 and the menu pops up. I couldn't find it on here. That was the only thing that got the mod to work but I have had other issues recently with it , my character has started becoming unable to move it might be connected to the update because it was fine before that. (nevermind turns out I had the console's character move set to 0 by mistake )
This mod has started to freeze my character they can't move at all besides rolling otherwise they won't walk . I think it might be ever since the game updated? but it was working fine just after update then all of a sudden my character is frozen no matter even if I reset all settings to default , drop all items and reload.
