Reset your keybinds to default. If that doesn't work, delete the file "Outward/Player0_Keymappings.xml"
If your Mods are not working or being weird:
Backup your "Outward\SaveGames\" folder.
Delete the "Outward" folder completely.
Verify files in Steam or re-download the game.
Follow instructions to install my mods as outlined in the Description.
Be careful adding back Mods which have not been updated since before December 2020, they may not be working and may cause problems with other mods too.
I suddenly started having this problem. The quickbar worked fine to begin with. I tried on an old character and the problem isn't there on it so it seems to be related to a specific save game. Multiple quickbars worked just fine for a long time too on this character. Playing on definitive. PLS halp sinaidev.
Multiple Quickslot bars, when installed with Combat HUD and played with the controller, do not allow changing the left stick button for the Sideloader opening shortcut.I wanted to use the left stick button as a shortcut to change the quickslot bars.
Dropping in to say I've had the same problem. The mod has keybinding options for the extra slots in my settings menu, so that's working, but the controller-related stuff doesn't seem to function at all. All of my other mods are working, so I don't think I broke them, but maybe I'm doing something wrong...
For some reason, whenever I switch quickslots, any item which usually has a value, (e.g. water skin, 5) the value disappears. I cannot tell how many items I have. I need to pause, and reequip the items for the values to show which is really tedious. Any chance for a fix?
I'm still in the process of finding a repeatable way to trigger this but it's happened twice now:
In certain circumstances, so far only happened in combat, switching quickslot bars will overwrite the bar you're switching to with the bar you're currently on. So you now have 2 bars with the same skills on them. This is with the mod configured with the default "Extra Quickslot Bars = 1". You can go through the effort of setting one of your bars back to its proper layout and the mod will again work as intended. But if this happens in a fight and you e.g. have an alternate bar that just has stuff like food on it you're now gonna have to finish the fight with no skills or magic. This is pretty lethal... It has happened twice in just about 2 hours of playtime so it's common enough to be a real problem... I will get back to you if i manage to find the exact circumstances that triggers it.
Other than that though, great big thanks for making this mod! 8 slots is not nearly enough to properly enjoy this game, this mod makes so many more builds viable and it's awesome. Really hope the above issue can get resolved or if i can find the trigger i can maybe learn to work around it.
Update: Happened once more after another 4ish hours of gameplay, so not as frequent as i initially feared. This time it happened out of combat while simply running straight forward in a line. Was just holding shift, W and pressed my bar swap button (Q). However, it's possible that the actual bug happened on the swap before that one. What i mean is that the bug may actually be that the bar does swap, but it then overwrites the bar you swapped FROM with the bar you now swapped to. In that case i'll only detect the issue the next time i try to swap which makes this even harder to pin down... :(
Thanks! I'll update and let you know if it happens again. Really appreciate all the work you've put into this game, Im using a whole bunch of your mods and it makes a huge difference to how much I've been enjoying it. Outward revives a sense of excitement that i havent felt in RPGs in years but it does have its rough edges and your mods do a very good job of smoothing them out.
I can happily report that i've now played somewhere around 10 hours on the new version and it's been bug-free. The "too fast swapping" thing may indeed have been the issue :) I have a cherry-red switch keyboard so if i rest a finger on a key i can in rare cases lower it down to be perfectly at the triggering point, meaning it's possible for it to oscillate between triggered and not triggered, spamming inputs extremely fast. I just did this a moment ago in fact and got the "you cant swap bars that fast" warning ;)
Hello, is there no way to simply extend the already existing quickslot bars at all? I really like this mod but I'd highly prefer simply extending the current bar, as opposed to switching between two bars.

If your Mods are not working or being weird:
Whenever I quit the game, the additional quick bars seem to be wiped clean, its quite annoying to re-add skills/items to the additional quickbars.
Is there anything that can be done to fix that problem?

The option to place the shortcut button appears, but when pressed it does nothing!

Where can I do that? I only see one file in the Files section here.
