Credit to Faedar and Ashnal for the original mod.

This mod allows you to set a custom "Room size" for Multiplayer when you are the Host. When you set a custom room size from the menu, it will be applied instantly to your online games, assuming you are the host.

Note: Outward is NOT designed for more than 2 people. This mod fixes some bugs that arise from increasing the limit, but do not expect a smooth experience.

Please read:
  • To set your room size limit, use the Shared Mod Config Menu to adjust your settings.
  • If you want to join an online game in Split mode, one player should join the game first, then start split to bring the second player in.
  • For best results, ALL players should install this mod, otherwise you will be unable to rest (sleep) and may encounter other bugs.
  • Make sure you set the same "Network Region" in your in-game settings (not settings for this mod).
  • Only one person should join a game at a time. If you have multiple people joining, make sure everyone spaces it out so you dont have multiple people joining at once.

How To Install
This is a BepInEx mod.

  1. If you haven't already, download and install BepInEx: instructions here
  2. Install the SideLoader first.
  3. Install the Shared Mod Config mod.
  4. Download the CustomMultiplayerLimit.zip file from the Files page
  5. Put this zip file in your Outward directory, so it looks like "Outward\CustomMultiplayerLimit.zip"
  6. Right-click the file and Extract Here, so it merges with the folders.
