Seems like it doesnt work with current version of the game :/ My biggest gripe with the game right now is that there's pretty much no ambience. No wind, no nothing really.
Does this mod work with mod managers? I use r2modman and the .dll plugin seems to work fine, it just removes all music from the game except the title screen music. My guess is that it can't find the music, so I tried putting the Mods folder everywhere you'd think it might go. In the Outward directory, r2modman directory, and others with no luck.
Update: Found the solution, for anyone using r2, just copy the contents of your 'Default' folder (the one that has the BepInEx folder) into your Outward game directory. Also make sure that the 'CCM Project' folder is named just that. Dunno why mine was missing the r.
So I've read the adding music guide but there's a few things I'm still not sure on: Difference between ambient day and day? It says ambient plays when roaming the countryside, but then there's town day so...?
When does the "Tracks" folder play?
I love all the tracks you've got here except for the Alex Mason dungeon ones. This could just be personal choice, but I feel that they all sound too similar, and when they "crescendo", the music just becomes a "little too much" with the suspenseful sounds.
Another personal opinion, I moved some tracks out of combat and into other folders: Chasing The Traitor----> Ambient Day Conjuration----> Dungeon Last Stand---> Ambient Day Nodar---> Dungeon Spirit---> Ambient Night Siren's Cadence---> Dungeon
Thanks for the cool mod. Outward OST is actually really quite good by itself but since I like to take my time (60+ days in Chersonese and just now about to finally leave), the tracks can get repetitive. This will definitely fix that, so thank you.
Day folder tracks are considered to be both a town day and ambient day track. It will play both in town and when in the countryside but only during daytime for these types of scenes. Opposite applies for the Night folder tracks.
The Tracks folder is used for configed tracks. Make sure you read the notes:
Any music placed in the Tracks folder and NOT configed properly will be assumed to be allowed to play under all circumstances (e.g. combat, ambient, daytime, nighttime, etc.)
