The newest version I uploaded was intended to work for people who don't have the soroboreans DLC. However, for whatever reason it doesn't actually function. So, I updated it again and it should now be all good. If both you and your friend redownload the mod you should be good to go

Doesn't seem to work. If i enable dev mode and press F3, i can see the skill in there, checked as a skill i'm supposed to know, but it doesn't show up in the skill menu for my character. I'm on the latest version of the game on steam (no DLCs owned).

I forgot to include that the mod does use the Outward Side Loader mod to function so make sure you have that installed. (I updated the description to include that this is needed) If you already do then I'm not really sure what the issue is. I have discovered that for some unknown reason that if rather than following the installation instructions I provided and instead use a mod installer (like vortex) that it will have the exact problem you are describing. Not sure if that is your specific issue though.

I do have the Outward Sideloader installed already. And as i said, i can actually see that the mod is loaded since i can see the skill when i press F3 and look for it in the dev menu. It's just not showing up as an available skill in the normal skill menu even tho it's checked of as "learned" in the F3 menu.

And i did follow your instructions. I just dropped that Shout.dll in my "\Outward\BepInEx\plugins" folder.

The reason i pointed out that i don't own any DLCs was just to make sure this mod doesn't require them. But it should work without them?

Ok, so i removed all my mods and configfiles for the game, and then proceeded to install just "BepInEx_x64_5.4.5.0", "SideLoader.3.3.2" and "AggroPullMod-193-1-0-0-1612476542". Then i tried to both accessing the skill on my already existing characted, and a brand new one. No luck on neither one. The skill shows up on both characters in the F3 menu, but not as a usable skill in my characted skill menu.

Then i checked to see if my BepInEx and SideLoader was up to date, BepInEx was up to date, but SideLoader had released "SideLoader-96-3-3-5-1614168967", so i did the whole process again clearing out everything and reinstalling the mods, this time with the newest version of SideLoader. Still no luck.

Don't know what else to try. Got any suggestions?

I don't have a way to test this on my end since I have both DLCs, but I built the mod using the torment skill as a template. Meaning the shout skill has the same animation on use. The reason I did this is because out of all the other existing skills torments animation fits the best with this shout skill I think. The torment skill is a skill that is only available if you have the Soroboreans DLC. So, I didn't think that you would need the DLC to use the skill, however, without it the animation and PNG of the skill icon don't exist which I think is most likely the cause of the issue. I just uploaded a new version of the mod that uses a base game skill as the template. So, in other words, while I cannot test it myself to be certain. I think if you download the new version of this mod that I just uploaded it should now work. Hopefully. If not let me know. If this also fixes it let me know so I don't keep banging my head trying to figure out what else it could be haha

I'll try this out first thing tomorrow. But at first glance, it seems to work now. Or at least it shows up in the skill menu now. :)

Just wanted to update you. If the mod is working for you then great! However, upon further testing while the skill does show up and is usable for people who don't have the soroboreans DLC it fails to actually pull aggro. I did some work on it and got that problem fixed in the version 4 that I just uploaded

First of all, thank you for taking your time to fix this. It's really appreciated! As oniryujin has pointed out already, V2 of the mod didn't do anything when you used it. However, V4 seems to work just as it should. Sorry for taking this long to answer, but me and my friend didn't have time to test this until today! Again, thank you so much for this mod! :)

Edit: One small thing tho. While it does take aggro if the second person doesn't do anything, it seems like the skill doesn't work if you apply any kind of DoT. For example, the obsidian guns burning DoT. If that's applied, it's impossible to pull aggro. Is this intended?

Yeah, the intended effect was to pull aggro not hold aggro. The way Outwards combat system is designed from what I can tell is whoever is dealing the most damage the enemy decides to target. So if the enemy is on fire they are constantly taking damage from whoever lit them on fire making them their prime target. However, from my own experience I have noticed that if you pull aggro on an enemy that is on fire from something like the obsidian pistol they do still switch attention to the user for a brief second before resuming pursuit of whoever lit them ablaze. The group I play with have managed to use that brief window to both pull back from the enemy or quickly jump in for a good hit. Regardless, to answer your question. Yes, it does sound like it’s working as I intended. Aside from having to use extra strategy when doing builds that focus on doing DoT damage I hope you enjoy the mod
