Broken Weapons, Shields and Armors cannot be equipped when they're broken.
Even as the filthy casual that I am, I dislike that broken items remain usable. This mod changes that.
Originally, I wanted to prevent that the mining pick and harpoon can be used when they're broken, but to my surprise the game was already preventing that.
Nevertheless, I created this mod to prevent the Player from using broken items:
- Broken Weapons, Shields and Armors cannot be equipped when they're broken. The notification "<Item> broke." will be shown instead.
- Weapons, Shields and Armors are automatically unequipped when their durability is reduced to zero (e.g. during combat).
- When the Player picks up broken items from the ground, they will not be automatically equipped anymore, but will be put in the Player's inventory instead
You can configure to only enable this behavior for Weapons, Armors and/or Shields separately.
BepInEx Mod. Requires Shared Mod Config Menu. Tested with the Three Brothers DLC. Please let me know when the mod does not work as expected.
Installation:
BepInEx mod. Extract to Outward game directory.
