About this mod

When you die, game goes back to Main Menu instead of the Revival Mechanic

Purpose:
If you're like me and don't like the random encounters when you die, this mod is for you.

When the Player character dies, the game goes back to the Main Menu instead of the Revival Mechanic (i.e. reviving you in a random spot with a small sub-story). Note that the player's death animation will not be shown much, but the screen will quickly fade to black when you die.

Note that the game will not be saved when you die, instead it will be reversed to the point where the game was last saved.

Note:
- This mod is intended and only tested for the single player experience and will most likely not work in Multiplayer or Split Screen mode

- I have tested and played with this mod for quite some time now, so I would consider it safe to use. Nevertheless, it is advised to always back up your save files in case something goes wrong.

Installation:
BepInEx mod. Extract to Outward game directory.

Version History:

Version 1.8:
Updated for latest game version as of November 2021. Configuration is now done through BepInEx Configuration (F1 Key)

Version 1.7:
- Removed dependance to Partiality
- Shared Mod Config Menu and SideLoader are now required
- There is now a Shaded Config Menu called "Reload on Death" to configure this mod
- Fixed bug where Tents or Backpack would disappear when sleeping
Note: Sleeping now always saves your game, even if the option "Disable Autosave" is enabled. This had to be done to fix the above bug.
- Keybindings for Quicksave and Quickload have been added in the Controls dialog under the "Custom Keybindings" section.
- The Keybindings can be disabled in the Shared Config Menu (requires restart)
