    Hey can you upload the mod to the ThunderStore?
    Also you can access the bepinex ConfigEntries directly like FailedRecipes.cfgDontConsumeItemsFailedAlchemy.Value
    instead of copying them to another var.

    Shared mod config menu is no longer being updated. The mod author of it says not to use it. So how do I use this mod then?

      I removed the requirement, Shared Mod Config Menu is not required anymore.

      The mod now uses the BepInEx Configuration Manager as seen in the second image.

    Should we delete the old installation, or safe to paste updated one to game?

      Shouldn't be necessary. The .dll file has the same name in all versions and should therefore be overwritten automatically.

    Works just as described and it is so nice to not have anxiety about losing my more valuable ingredients! It's a perfect companion to the Stop Food Decay mod! Thank you so much for sharing!!

    For anyone looking for more detailed install directions check out this link:
    https://outward.gamepedia.com/Installing_Mods
    and place this mods .dll file and .txt file here:
    Outward\BepInEx\plugins\

    Also, to help anyone confused by the configuration file (.txt document)...
    * The text document file in the current version of this mod (v1.2) INCLUDES BY DEFAULT the perk of not losing your ingredients during failed Manual Recipe trials
    * IF for some reason you want either cooking OR alchemy to go back to the vanilla method of losing ingredients on failed attempts but to keep the modded way for the other, THEN you can go into the text document included in the download and change it.

    When reading the text document all of the lines that start with a # are notes from the author explaining how the document works.
    The one you would want to change is the very last line in a paragraph (no #) and make sure there are NO spaces:
    bConsumeItemsFailedAlchemy=False
    OR
    bConsumeItemsFailedCooking=False

    False means NO lost ingredients on failed manual recipes (MODDED DEFAULT)
    True means you WILL lose ingredients on failed manual recipes (VANILLA METHOD)

    Hope this helps someone! Happy modding!

    I have suspicion the mod might not be compatible with

    https://www.nexusmods.com/outward/mods/54 (stop food decay)

    and possibly

    https://www.nexusmods.com/outward/mods/72 (recovery buff priority)

    once I added these two mods, this mod (failed recipes dont consume ingredients) stopped working. I know for sure I had this mod working just yesterday.

      Please try again with the newest version. I use it with both, food decay and recovery buff priority and they work together fine.

    I updated this mod for the Soroboreans DLC. Tested with update 2020-06-26. Mod is now a proper BepInEx plugin. Extract to Outward game directory. Let me know if the mod is not working as expected, when using it with the latest version.

    I tested it out with all files being in the Outward/Mods folder, but the results were the same i.e. ingredients lost. Regardless, thank you for the response and have a good one.

      I added a new version 1.1: The mod should work no matter where you place the mod .dll and config file. It should work if you place both files in the Outward\Mods directory or the Outward\BepInTex\plugins directory. Can you please try again with the new version?

      I gave it a try but at my end it dont work, with both directory variants. Even 2 other mods from UrbanVibes dont work for me

      The Failed Recipes do not consume Ingredients, Alchemy and Cooking Recipe Display in Player Menu and Instantly Take Items are the mods i try to use but none of them are working whatever directory they are placed in. q.q i waaant them so bad to work. xD

      Sorry guys, I am currently a bit busy. I will definitely get back to it once the new DLC is out and will check and update all my mods then.

    The mod does not work for me at all i.e. I tried kitchen, cooking pot or alchemy set and the ingredients were always destroyed. With cooking, I got food waste and with alchemy, I got the notification that the ingredients were destroyed. Even adjusting the parameters in the text from FALSE to TRUE just to try it did not change the outcome.

    Maybe I installed the mod wrong (dll in Outward\BeplnEx\plugins and txt in Outward\Mods), but another mod of yours (InstantTakeItems) worked just fine installed like this.

    Please look into it if you have a moment. Thank you!

      The .dll also needs to be placed in the Outward\Mods folder, at least that's how I use it. Can you please try that and let me know if that resolved the issue? If you don't want the ingredients to be consumed, both parameters need to be set to False.
