About this mod

An extension of my Better Descriptions 2 mod that also replaces the vague dialog in the Side Stories menu with an in-game guide.

The purpose of this mod is to give players an in-game guide for all of the Side Stories in the game, usually listing out which path actions to use, then naming the NPC to use those path actions on and giving the location of that NPC as well, followed by alternative methods to complete the quest when available, and finally listing any rewards and unlockables given when the quest is completed.  Many of the quests in this game can be very vague, forcing players to have to look up a guide online to figure out where they are suppose to go and what they have to do, this mod will hopefully remove that step and allow players to use the Side Stories menu as an in-game guide instead.  If you've used the mod I created for the original game with the same name, you'll see the same format used here as well.

Note:  Please let me know if the format for the wording in-game makes sense, it is currently in the form of (Path action: NPC name at Location), but sometimes the Path Action will instead be listed as a Chest, Battle, or another interaction that must be done instead.

IMPORTANT:  This mod uses the GameTextEN.uasset/uexp, GameParamDefineTable.uasset/uexp, BattleCommandHelpWindow.uasset/uexp, and HelpWindowWBP.uasset/uexp files, so it will be incompatible with other mods that use these files.  This mod was intended for use with the Steam version and may not work with other versions.  My Better Descriptions 2 mod is already included in this mod and it uses those same files, so if you are using that mod and would also like to use this one, just delete the Better Descriptions 2 mod and use this one instead, do not use both at the same time.

INTSALL:
Download the "SideStoriesHelper2_p.pak" file and place it into your "[steam install folder]\steamapps\common\Octopath_Traveler2\Octopath_Traveler2\Content\Paks\" folder.  If you're in the correct spot, you should see a "Octopath_Traveler2-WindowsNoEditor.pak" file in this folder.

UNINSTALL:
Delete the ""SideStoriesHelper2_p.pak" file from the same folder listed above.
