i do think eventually it would be really nice is there was a quest involved (most likely leveled locked to lvl 10+) to 'officially' gain ownership of the shack and then being able to purchase stuff to upgrade it afterwards.
I have to be honest here. This is the perfect starter location. I originally thought it needed some additions, but soon realized that as a "I just broke out of jail and need a place to squat for a bit" home, it is just right. The mud crabs sneaking into the porch, minimal interior decorations, and lack of spell/ench alters etc keep you looking for a home to buy and make your own. The storage makes it super convenient and removes a lot of the hassle of trying to decide what you can carry vs what you have to sell or drop for the lower levels. Thank you.
Hi, love its simplicity. It's doing its job very well. Thank you!
One question/request: Would it be possible for you to increase somehow the distance from far away at which the house spawns/pops in while approaching its location?
A simple sparse home, which is just what a new adventurer needs. My only issue is all the rotten mud crabs whose bodies now litter my lawn. :D If I had any suggestion, it would be to add a fenced in yard &/or a rooftop exit so newbies can avoid being attacked every other time they leave their home. Beyond that, it's a stellar addition & I thank you!
From imperial city mostly, also I noticed if I fast travel towards canalization exit or to ayleid ruins and walk towards the house - game will crash occasionally too.
So I brought the adoring fan to this house and pushed him to the bottom floor area, leave, come back and the adoring fan is gone. so i do ghost console command to see if he fell through the house, turns out...the abandoned house in anvil is connected to this when you go through the walls and explore. The adoring fan somehow ended up in the abandoned house of Anvil in the same cell.
Correct, new cells are not currently possible so any "new" interiors like this one have to reuse existing ones. That said, this issue and several others may be resolved if Haph and I can get the cell navmeshed properly.
There's a MO2 download for Oblivion Remastered that adds a function that automatically lists all esps in the right folder, and adds all esps to the plugins txt, pretty handy tool
Hey Haphestia - I killed someone in order to summon Lucien Lachance and then slept in the abandoned house, but he wasn’t able to enter and approach me. I only managed to speak with him after exiting the house, where he appeared outside the front door. Not sure if this is something that can be adjusted on your end, but I thought I’d let you know. Thanks for the mod!
