NOTES Mind, please, I made this mod for myself first of all and it won't fit everyone. Close camera is even closer, less off-centered and slighting lower, far camera is very close to vanilla close one (slightly farther). All 19 character states are covered, some inconsistencies fixed (like galloping horse state being zoomed in more than troting). I haven't tested all states extensively tho, thus don't be shy to report issues.
CHANGELOG 1.0.1 - fixed dialogue crash. just noticed how awful leaving dialogue transition in vanilla, will take a look. 1.0.2 - fixed persuade crash as well. 1.0.3 - fixed vanity camera (after 2mins of idling) crash. 1.3 - add experimental close lower camera. I rarely play games of genres where camera works that way, so use on your own risk.
... there's a vanilla game bug just a few players noticed: when sitting in 1st person cam view is totally wrong (is identical to player standing up)... Wondering if it can be fixed with a mod like this since the game now uses UE5...
Has anyone ever noticed how during a sprint jump in first person if you press shift again it yanks the camera around in a strange way? Would it be possible to remove those FoV effect for first person camera? I think those might be what cause it but it looks like the mod doesn't change it
Thanks for this! Considering that this mod was most likely made for height 1.0 in mind, would this mod be compatible with height mods such as Player Height Fix?
Awesome mod! Very clean with great visibility! I was wondering, would it be possible to "add" a third zoom out option so that we may be able to fully see our characters in third person somewhat? Not really far out, but just far out enough where we can see the shoes/boots our character is wearing. Thanks!
I really like the close lower camera. It has the added benefit of making small races feel small. I'm playing as a wood elf with player scale set at .9 (what it should be if it wasn't bugged). It really makes you feel like an underdog, fighting in melee. I think it would benefit from being slightly higher though, just enough to provide a bit more visibility on the left side.
Caites, could you fix a bug in the game itself, when sitting and in first person view, the camera is too high, as if our character is standing and not sitting?
Thanks for the great mod! I don't know if it's just me, but when I'm riding I very often get my horse's name displayed because the cursor is pointing at it - it's a bit distracting. Could you generally hide the horse's name when riding, or put the cursor a bit higher when riding?
infobox for horse follows the same rules and uses same widget that all NPCs and objects in the world, it won't be possible to get rid of it on UI level without yeeting all infoboxes as well. ask one of UESS/OBSE guys, mb they will find a hook specifically for a horse.

I wish I could have a closer camera while on the horse too.
