I played for a little without this, but Prior Maborel's Horse simply didn't hit the same way. This was the first modification to remaster that I installed lol
As far as I know right now, they not handled by textures but values in UE and it has some greys/dark greys in it making it very very dark. It's same how eyes are built up ish, values and not textures, so rn with my knowledge I cannot do much about the mane or tail of any horse T_T sorry! Will release update/changes of it as soon as I know how to or point to someone who has.
this person asked the same exact question in just about every Horse mod I've come across, pay them no mind. very clear they messed something up and are trying to fish for answers because they don't want to troubleshoot themselves.
Would you potentially be willing to share a bit more information on what tools you guys used for this? I'd like to edit one of the khajiit eyes, as I feel like we're lacking a true good yellowish green eye color for slit pupils. It's either yellow, or a bluish green, and I wanted to edit one of the yellowish ones to be more green.
I managed to extract the Pak to get the uasset files, but now I'm not sure what to do with them.
Hii! I'm gonna try and fill in with cRaZy's help later if I end up on some gaps; but I want to warn you that it might require a bit more than texture editing for character eyes. Alike the mane for white horses that I commented on below, eye color for characters seems to be built up by values in UE, and not work like original Oblivion with textures. (The human eyes I looked at did atleast be made up by values, so I'm assuming here its same case for any eye.)
But as for texture editing you need "Mappings usmap file for FModel" by huwiee here on nexus and follow instructions there. (for FModel). When you navigated in FModel, extract texture by right clicking the file (if it has a texture). You also need UE 5.3.2 and it's here I'm a bit confused what exact path/trial and error cRaZy went thru but some instructions to begin exists on ClownGodCG's comment section and these two github tutorials Changing Textures and Cooking Content.
Thank you, this is gonna help a lot! We don't have any decent yellow-green eyes with slit pupil. all the so called 'green yellow' are just yellow, and I wanna change at least one of them to be more green.
