for some reason, after upgrading to the simple mining overhaul the mod stopped working, cant find any ore veins and the pickaxe stopped being a weapon. it worked last night before upgrading
new save file, load order correct and double checked
Probably worth noting that renaming a plugin isn't save-safe. The game will act as if the mod has been removed and a new, separate mod added. e.g. The game will fail to load any new mod-added items or spells a player has, and they will likely lose them.
Just checked for errors in Xedit and it popped up these errors. Haven't looked through the files properly to see what it is exactly but it says unused data.
By the way, you have fog near values and threat level values that conflict with vanilla and other mods. Sometimes changing these values can cause issue with objects becoming invisible so I've heard. These are considered to be dirty edits.
You've also missed a Water Height value at LOC_FN_SEDeepwallowDulphumphgroUrgashHouse. Is this intentional?

One question/idea: Bramplepoint cave. There is a particular crystal that is also mentioned in a journal next to it. Beside said crystal already lies a pickaxe. Could it be be possible to make this crystal minable? The ore it would give would be
Oh! I would definitely use this. Right up my alley. But, there is a mod that needs pickaxes. I'm wondering if it just needs the plain pickaxe. I'm going to hold off using this until I know. The mod I'm talking about is Little Things. You need the pickaxe in inventory to open some of the treasures. Tracking for now.
Yeah, unfortunately it looks like Little Locations makes use of the vanilla pickaxe in it's scripts (Pickaxe01 / xx025103). So probably need to mark that as an incompatibility, if the vanilla pickaxe will be replaced or it's loot-ability reduced.
I wish Little Locations had chosen the shovel instead
