I installed the mod in the middle of the game, so I used the "set MQ00.MaxOpenGates to 100" command. But I keep getting an error saying it's an unrecognized class or object.
Its hard to say exactly how long it takes, gates reopening is beholden to the same random chance that first time gate openings are. Gates open/reopen when you visit/revisit their cell.
The chance in vanilla for gates to open/reopen is modified by 3 main quests: Find The Heir - 25% chance Dagon Shrine - 50% chance Paradise - 25% chance
Additionally, you may want to input this command into the console if you are installing this mod mid-game: set MQ00.AllowGatesToReopen to 1

If you want to set it manually, without doing the quests, you can input this command in the console:
