This is my fav because it doesn't remove the fire effects or other effects off enemies, which all others did (even when stated it didn't)

I use a lot of magical rings and armors...

Better, but not perfect: still happens sometimes unfortunately.
Post-glow effects (yellow sparklings f.e...) also get still randomly stuck on player.
It seems to reduce a bit the chance these visual bugs happen though.

Let's hope Virtuous will finally fix it properly with next update...

Is it possible to turn off the weapon effects?
They are ruining the look of many weapons.

Love this mod. Perma-glow did not only look ugly but it was causting significant FPS drop on my old computer.

Works as advertised, however when you first load in, it causes a "sparkle" around your character. In order to get it to work, when you load into the world, go through a door and the "sparkle" around you will disappear, then the mod will work perfectly.

I'm going to look into the "sparkle", someone mentioned it may be from a disease or using a healing spell, but I haven't had a chance to confirm that yet :)

Hey, I've had this problem with some effects. This removed the persistent glow, but I still have a persistent shock effect bugged on me. It doesn't go away on reload, so I will just go back enough saves w/e- but I wanted to note such. If you have any tips for fixing that as well though, lmk. Thanks <3 (endorsed, this is a really good mod :3)

      Thank you!

As for the persistent shock effect, I may be able to address it, but I’d just need to know the source it’s coming from. By any chance, are you wearing any specific armor or jewelry that might be causing it?

Thanks for the mod!  Any chance of a mod to remove all weapon glow/particles?  It can be distracting

My pleasure! I should be able to do that, I'll look into it when I have some spare time!

I'm sorry to hear that. On my end, it's been working as expected, so it's hard to say for certain why it might not be working for you. My best guess is that there may be some specific edge cases that aren't accounted for.

This and several other mods only seem to work sometimes , I know it's not your fault . It's windows 11 and Bethesda that between the two made it so my game is read only and every time I change it it just changes back . It makes me really miss my old windows 7 PC , and how easy it was to use and understand . If I quit to desktop and reload my save that fixes it , so it isn't the end of the world or anything .

Wow, I sooo never gonna have windows 11. That said, you probably gonna find a fix on GitHub. Also check if you have the real admin rights, because Windows tends to give you the Disney version first

Oh I'm sorry you're dealing with that, it sounds quite annoying. As the other user mentioned, ensure that your user account is an Administrator. Alternatively, you could always re-install Windows if it's giving you a lot of problems, although setting everything up again can be a little tedious.

Or you could install the game outside of the Program Files folder which requires Administrator privileges to write in it...

Since Chameleon is handled a little bit different compared to these other shaders, this mod doesn't interact with it. However, because some people dislike the Chameleon effect (and the vast amount of bugs associated with it), I created a mod that completely removes the visual effect. It may not be exactly what you're asking for, but feel free to check it out :)

i actually found it im using both the chameleon and invisible one you made. there just too many bugs with those two affects. id end up playing for hours invisible cuz i wouldnt be in the mood to reset the game to fix it. so thank you!
