Would be really cool of you if you would reactivate comments on your mod pages that way people can talk amongst themselves, if only for troubleshooting purposes. Please simply ignore "requesters & the entitled".
Honestly, nothing will turn a user away from ever trying a mod more than seeing the comments locked. Because it makes it seem like there's something wrong with the mod, and we know we won't be getting any support if something does go wrong or if we have a question.
Nope. Too much unnecessary stress. My mental health is more important that seeing download numbers go up. I'm okay with people not downloading if they don't feel comfortable or confident in the mod. It's just a mod for a videogame.
And this is exactly the kind of comment that I get hundreds of and why I disable them. I don't understand people like you. You get this content for free and still opt to be an entitled jerk. You are one random person with zero work on this site. I have dozens of mods and get thousands of comments that I have to sift through. It adds up. Grow some empathy man.
What a chad, that's the f*#@ing best looking helmet I've seen in a while. It's badassified to the maximum. The original is so goofy ahh clumsy ahh hero wanna be ahh lookin helmet. Nah but for real there's not a world where I'm not getting this over vanilla. That's hype. You're in for a ride man cuz you ain't going nowhere till you Remastered all these of helmets
I'm unsure about which graphics setting needed to be set to medium for that one helmet, but just to clarify for anyone curious, that doesn't mean your entire game needs to be set to medium. I have a mix of settings ranging from low to ultra (based on what my now-old pc can handle) and the helmet works just fine.
Oh, and cool mods, btw. Been downloading them on release every time I see HugAMuffin as the author. Absolutely love the helmet edits.
Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for all the hard work! When I was younger, two of my must-have mods on old Oblivion were the "closed iron" and "closed ebony" helmet mods, because I just couldn't stand the fact that almost no oblivion helmets had a visor and some of them looked like superhero masks more than anything actually protective. Not only did you make these same two helmets closed on the remaster, but you did it even better than those old mods had managed, not to mention all the other closed versions you've made as well (the Amelion armor in particular takes the cake). I am just a random guy on the internet, but I wanted you to know that you made my gaming experience better. Thanks again, cheers!
Absolutely amazing design! Only one thing to say... please mention on the first page that for beast races it uses the default helmet. Had to spend 30 minutes to troubleshoot why it isn't actually working.
Also, please consider:HD Reworked Ebony Armor It color corrects the set to fit with the shield. In the vanilla version of the game, the set is a mess.
After a few days there are inevitable people who bring a lot of negativity and entitlement to the comment. They start spamming demands for changes, or spamming about how the mod doesn't work, only to then realize they installed it incorrectly, or they spam really aggressive requests for other, totally unrelated mods, which is why I keep putting "I am not accepting requests" in the mod description, but people don't read it.
Eventually it gets to be too much, so I only keep a few comment threads open at a time. Less stressful that way.
I had the same issue. I don't know if this is yalls problem too but here is what worked for me:
I use vortex and that worked with all HugAMuffin helms except this one and Amber, even though I made sure the mod archive was formatted right for vortex (down carrot right of "remove" next to mod, "open in file manager", .pak, .ucas, .utoc should be in this folder. Ei: "*\vortex\oblivionremastered\mods\Protective Headgear - Ebony-3607-1-0-1747732313")
Problem was, for whatever reason, this mod and Amber were not deploying to the mod folder no matter what I did. (top orange bar, "open", "open game mods folder" Ei: "*\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Paks\~mods") I tried refreshing content. I tried reinstalling the mods. I tried disabling them and re-enabling them. I tried restarting Vortex. I tried purging mods and then deploying them again. I gave up so I put the 3 files for both mods in the mod folder by hand, the .pak, .ucas, and .utoc for the versions I wanted. Now it works.
I don't know why vortex was being so dumb with these 2 mods in particular. The mod reports even said it was deploying the right files. Whatever, not like I'm ever going to uninstall these 2 must have mods. It might help if HugAMuffin separated options into separate downloads like they did with Protective Headgear - Glass Helmet, but they aren't taking feedback, so I'm not going to press the issue.
P.S. Thanks for sharing, HugAMuffin! This is a great mod collection you're making! I love it!

Boundaries are important.

Stay safe
I'm already using that texture mod, it's just bad form to show other people's work prominently in one's own screenshots. It can misleading.
