If you are ever willing to make some adjustments that are truly for the better:
- Scroll (or a small tome) on the hip/belt. Remove the scroll on the back.
- Create a red robe version that matches the red of the Bladeturn Hood.
- Maybe a version for Blue, Black and Red with Iron/Steel plates on the robe (shoulders) instead of leather, so we can mix it with light/medium armor pieces better. (mythril, Silver elven, Iron, steel boots/gloves).
- If it has already been enchanted (seems to with your mod banner picture) then let us know in the description. otherwise:
- Make a enchanted version with what you think would fit your armor mod (we can only officially give 1 enchant in the game), maybe Fortify Magicka + Fortify Willpower + Spell Absorb? makes it good armor for player with and without Attronach birthsign.
- The description doesn't say what armor slots it fills. Can we wear boots, pants, gloves? My guess is that it's only chest that is used?
- Maybe.. Just maybe.. add in a color swap for the headband in the character creation to match the robe color. So if we take blue armor, we get blue headband too. Red robe and we get a matching red headband etc.
- You could (you are very talented in this) create a new item from the shackles in the game we wear in the beginning and make a short bracer or bracelet with a gemstone inside (from the rings or amulets in the game) also withthe same color of the robe.
These are just some of my ideas, that IMHO would make this amazing armor even better.. Funny enough I would never ever play with any other armor again, in that case..
You did an amazing job on this... Please keep improving it even more !
I dont know if your willing to but could you make a version without the scroll absolutely love this armor and have it downloaded but the scroll on the back kinda ruins it would it be possisble if it was on a hip or just taken off 🙏
Yeah, gotta say the same, scroll placement placement there is odd, and it clashes with a two-handed weapon (cant do much about it clipping into the hood of course. or can they?)
I have to comment again to say I don't care how much of a dork it makes me... I check in EVERY DAY to see if there's an update making it so I don't have to get another mod or change my settings/adding physics/standalone/world peace/anything at all.
Like... I will "donate" you some cash for a final version. Not kidding. THIS is what exactly (maybe I'd have used a book other than a scroll...I don't know) what I've wanted for 19 years now.
Seriously. This is potentially the coolest gear ever. EVER!
Once you’re able to do a standalone, is there any chance we can get a less beefy version, or maybe a version that scales with the new male NBO bodies now that it’s out? Currently, my mage’s physique is a bit less… “I lift 24/7, bro,” and more, “I live in the library, my good man,” and putting on this gear feels like a child putting on a Halloween superhero costume with foam muscles.
Haha yeah I definitely made it for the buff wizards out there, I'll definitely be doing some more mage fits in the future though. As for NBO, I'm not really too interested in that stuff. Not gonna say never, but probably not.
I’m not interested in NBO for the…eh.. assumed reason. What interests me is being able to set body types per race so that we have very slender, lithe wood elves, beefy orcs, and so on. I was hoping I’d be able to scale my mage (who is male) to have a specific body type, and the male version of that mod delivers. But, regardless, just a less ripped version in the future would be cool. I look forward to whatever you do.
If you want to fix the first person bugs with your outfits try this fix at the bottom of the page here! https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/3671
You need to use camera utilities which runs off of UESS4 etc. Install that mod and load up then tweak the settings for it. Unfortunately he's not found a workaround for it with the engine yet. A lot of texture items don't seem to work in first person without major dev changes, i.e. the emperors robes do this as well. I'll post the camera settings for you, you then tweak them. You have to make the hands appear very close to the body or else the upper arms look naked.
It's actually pretty easy to fix on the modders end, without doing all that. Emperor's Robe First Person Mesh Fix description has a tutorial on how to do it.
Hope the modder sees this. Really want this outfit to work better in first person without having to use another mod in tandem. Will there be another update to this mod?
If you figure out how to make standalone armor mods, I would sure fuckin love it if you took the hood model that you created for this and made a "Lowered Hoods" mod that basically has a chest somewhere with all the different hood colours in a lowered mesh for us to switch between on the go! :) No pressure, loving your stuff, thanks as always!
If you want the armor to be red, then download the following mod — The files from "ebon battle mage" change the color of "Wandering Mage's Armored Robe" and this also looks really nice.
Awesome armour and I'm not having the beggar shirt clip issue thankfully, I am having a weird issue where the colours aren't matching properly as shown in the screenshot though. They're a lighter green on the body. Looks like it's using the aqua robe colours. No paks that should conflict like alternative gear ones etc. Aside from that it's really nice and I'll be using this.
For anyone having the beggar shirt clip issue turn the cloth quality from high to medium.

Camera Utility mod settings for anyone needing them to fix first person hood issues:
seems like one of the robe recolors got installed wrong or fucked somehow in the download. Try redownloading the zip and overwriting the old files in your mods folder. Thanks for posting the settings too!
I couldn't get the colours to work properly after reinstalling so I'm assuming that the oblivion script extender system breaks your intended loading somehow, but the black recolor works flawlessly so I'll use this going forward. It looks incredible! <3
I found a workaround, thanks to Dranko’s comment. I downloaded Pleasing Palettes - Crusader's White Hood and Robes and used the "Crusader’s Hood and Robes" version to achieve a white look. I actually prefer the white version now lol. Also, cheers for this amazing mod! I hope you’ll consider releasing a standalone version in the future. Thanks again

I also had this exact issue with the hoodless version and managed to fix it by adding the MageRecolor1 and 2 pak/ucas/utoc files from the hood version into my hoodless folder. Just kind of a hail mary that worked.
Nice mod, I would love a fix to the first person POV.
