After purchasing the spell from Orintur, I notice couple of things - The cost of the spell is zero. Is it possible to add a cost? - The Magicka cost says 0 here - Also, when I cast it, we are able to levitate fine, but it does not consume 5 Magicka Per Second. No magicka is consumed, essentially, I can keep flying. What could cause the issue?
I'm able to dispel Levitation by recasting it. That works really well. Thank you for all your mods.
Hmm it's been a while since I messed with the version of the mod. Can look into it. From your photo it actually looks like it's working? That magic effect in lower left is drain magicka. You could check your active effects too. Maybe you are out regening the drain.
I'd say also try the levitation in Mad Spell Pack - LUA Magic Effects. That mod is built off of this mod so you wouldn't need to rebuy it or anything. I know it's working there at least.
The no Magicka cost is intended as the drain is supposed to be the cost. I think I'll add "stunted magicka" to the effect so you can't regen while levitating.
Yeah exactly! I'll update both my mods tomorrow to include the debuff. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Didn't realize how strong regen is in the remaster.
can you do a blink hotkey as well, there was one that had x to blink to where you're aiming, but it also included a form of flight option, i wish to get an optional blink hotkey so i dont have 2 flight mods at once.
I like this from a fun perspective, and it is definitely a technical achievement, namely the new version. But I feel like, if people are doing a serious play through, or their first play through, levitation might break the game in some ways. The “Levitation Act” justification is cheesy, but Oblivion just wasn’t built with it in mind.
That said, if you want that effect and want to levitate all over, then this mod is perfect. I’m not saying a word against it, just sharing my perspective. I mean, you can break the game with acrobatics too, I’m just sharing this for people who are intentionally using mods to limit themselves and makes things less cheesy.
I haven’t downloaded and opened the levitation crime ESP in XEdit yet, but I was wondering if it edits guard records, as I assume it would. Would it then need to be patched with other mods that also edit guards? I’m only asking because I won’t be able to take a look at it myself for a bit.
If I recall correctly, when you add a spell to a vendors inventory, it only shows up after a new game. Doesn't hurt to double check the esp is enabled too. (Previous versions didn't have one).
If you just want to add the spell. Install the mod "Runtime Editor IDs" and type player.addspell madLevitation
Installed the spell version on my current save and I was able to purchase. Definitely want to see if it can be a toggle/drain magicka over time but honestly the closest to Morrowind works. Great work!
A little confused on the config options if they still apply when using the spell version (LevitateConfig.lua is still included) do these work for the spell?
Most of the stuff in the configs are non-functional in v3. They are still needed as they are referenced in the script, but very few of the options do anything. Will likely clean it up next release.
Try 3.2, I just marked it as a spell instead of a power. That makes it show up more consistently in vendor's inventories. I also made it so you can but it from Dovyn Aren if the mages guild guy doesn't have it for whatever reason.

But spell has no cost, and the bars don't go down and up.

Essentially, it behaves like a concentration spell right? Then we should not be regenerating at the same time.
